How many carrots do you earn?

    • +3

      Just the stick.

    • Pony Horse or Bunny Kind of carrots?

    • they will most likely just give you a coles voucher to pickup your carrots because it will be so many.

try a bag of dog poo get 20 bucks.

    • Hey whatever floats your boat.

  • +2

I think the voucher comes the day after the switch 2 releases so they intend you to use it on something else. Email says voucher arrives June 6th

    • +4

The email I received states that the voucher is being sent on 6th of July which is a month after the Switch launches and expires 31st July.

      • Yep you're right I misread, even worse

  • Good deal. Got $2 for some old ps4 game. Use the voucher for Donkey Kong.

    • mind if I ask what ps4 game it was?

      • FIFA 19 or 20, but literally any game should work. You can buy a $1-2 from them then trade it back. Just have to trade towards the Switch 2 preorder for the deal to work.

        • +1

It mentions the trade in needs to be at least $10 worth.

@catbarf: Better not be, I traded in an amiibo yesterday and the person at the counter said that i'd get the $20 voucher

          • @catbarf: No it doesn't. The $10 minimum is for the Switch console and 4 games trade deal not the $20 voucher.

          • @catbarf: Can confirm this is not the case. Just traded in an amibo that was worth about $5

    • Says trade in needs to be worth at least $10?

      • +1

Where is that mentioned? I can’t seem to find anything about that

      • The email I got has a condition referencing $10 that looks to refer to trading in the console + 4 games towards the switch, which is seperate to this deal. It’s referred to as a “console trade deal” and the first sentence referring to console condition, then references trading of multiple games next sentence (this $20 deal would only concern a single title, rather than “games”). Nevermind the promo says any valid trade, which could be non-games.

        Unless it’s stated elsewhere, I don’t think there’s a minimum value.

  • What if I already paid off the switch 2 preorder? Can I still trade in something towards it and get the voucher?

    • +1

Just create another order, get $20 assigned to it and get the rest allocated from old order, $20 leftover to be paid out.

  • trade a steam deck? get 20 bucks off lol.

    • +1

Well you still get the trade value of the steam deck on top of that, whatever that may be.

  • +3

Pick up a stick from the street and trade it in

  • The market trend seems like getting over stock of Switch 2.
EB is trying to lock-in as many pre-order as they can. But this $20 voucher release in July which is bad.

God I wish the glass screen protectors came out the same day as the switch 2.
I hated the nintendo switch from the start. Awful screen, awful airgap.
Then they made the OLED. You put a glass screen protector on it, and oh, it's beautiful, durable…

There's no way, in HELL, I am spending $700 on something where I cant keep that screen crystal clean and protected.
I probably want to buy a travel case with it, as i buy it, so i may hold off.

    $20 is $20 tho.

  • +1

Man these trade in deals are such a ripoff, only $200 trade is their best case scenario with lvl 4 plus paid membership for the switch and 4 games?
Switch games barely lose any value so they are effectively making that back just on the games, let alone the console.
They resell the console for $380 pure profit.

    • This $20 is ok if they don’t enforce a minimum trade in, and you can trade in anything. $20 for something legitimately worth less than that’s ok and easy to take advantage of. Plenty of PS or Xbox games one could use.

But agree on the console trade in. Usually EB has pretty decent day 1 trade in deals. Most recently the PS5 being valued at $600 towards a PS5 Pro was legitimately a good price for people with 4 year old units and noting that’s basically the price to buy one new on a good day. Even without the 4 games I don’t think the Switch value of $200 is a good deal. With the four games and with a minimum trade in value for those four titles, it’s very very poor.
