Palit Gamerock GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GPU $1449 Delivered ($0 VIC, NSW, SA C&C) @ Centre Com

Hi all, first time poster. Seen this deal on the 5070ti palit gamerock, seems like it's the lowest price it's ever been. Not sure if everyone would classify it as a bargain but anyone in the market for a GPU this seems the best deal for anyone picky about GPUs as this one has a vapour chamber which seems like something tech savvy people are picky about when buying a new GPU. I recently bought it for $1499 so at $1450 it seems a good buy for anyone in the market for a solid GPU.

Haven't set mine up yet but from the limited amount of reviews out there they're high end 5070ti's with great overclock potential.

just got mine from them yesterday, so far so good. Very quiet thankfully. I was originally going for the GamingPro but decided against it as they were all v1's without the vapour chamber, and from what I had heard - are very loud.

Mate, please let me know if yours also makes this whrrr noise when the fans are spinning

no.. my fans do not make that sound at all. Here's what mine sound like going from 30 > 100% a couple of times. Microphone was right next to the GPU.

          • @jordnz: Damn lucky, guess mine is another dud, funny enough the first card I got was completely DOA but had 2 QC stickers, this one has 2 QC stickers and 1 OQC sticker yet they still either missed this issue or they thought it was acceptable to sound like this.

        • I think you GPU mount/stand is touching the fan just a tiny bit, or from what I could from the video. See if that is what is causing the noise.

          • @itsmoe: It looks like it but its not, there's a rubber nub that actually contacts the card, not that metal bar. Also, its the fan near the IO thats the primary noise maker, if you stop that one then the noise is practically gone.

            • @reactor-au: I would return it, rma it. That would annoy the crap out of me. It probably needs a bit of lubricant but that's not your job to do.

      • Nice, did you pay $1449 or $1499? Bit annoyed I bought right before it dropped to $1449 haha.

        • I paid $1575 or something, as I had to purchase it over eBay due to having a bunch of gift cards I needed to use. Not too fussed tbh. Got Doom out of it I guess.

@jordnz: Yeah that's not bad then. Theirs worse models for the same price so can't complain really.

Good luck finding one thats not been a mining workhorse and thats around $1500.

      • Isn't is going for around $900-1000 now (checked ebay sold listings recently)? I got mine in 2022 for $1300, ex-miner probably but I am using it for DL and it still works well.

  • How's the fan noise on this one? few reports online that they're not that great. fan noise is fine but there's a 'humming/grinding' sound?

  • So how's everyone card doing? Any odd fan noise around 35-40%?

I've just set mine up tonight as my CPU only just arrived. So far my gamerock is surprisingly quiet and no coil whine at all during gaming. Will do some stress testing tomorrow though to test it out properly.

    • My card was DOA and centrecom is refunding me after 2 weeks.

      • What were your symptoms?
My first was DOA (lights only), replacement makes a bit of bearing noise between 33 and 43% but they said it sounds normal (tested in a noisy shop).

        • rgb would light up and that's it. (no display out)

Tried powering with the included adapter and a native 12v hpwr connector

          Updated mobo bios

tried all display outs, different cables and different monitors.

In the bios my motherboard (gigabyte b650) wouldnt detect any pcie device.

Centrecom took two weeks and just said "they were unable to repair in timely manner".

I'm slightly tempted to get a replacement model since its a good price, but i dont wanna have to deal with this process again.

          • @Frobenius: I had the same issue but I purchased in store and when I took it in they tested and replaced on the spot.

            • @reactor-au: I'm glad they replaced yours on the spot. At centrecom clayton they took two weeks to confirm it was doa. I went back for a replacement model yesterday, but i asked them to test it for me first. it was also DOA. I decided to just get a refund at that point

              • @Frobenius: Wow, between the DOA and fan issues, palit quality control seems pretty lacking.
Did you go to Clayton store during the week or weekend? I went during the week because I don't think they have a technician on weekends.

                • @reactor-au: yeah first return was weekend - must be why. 2 weeks is still pretty poor. i had to call them to get and update since i had heard nothing. I reckon i might pickup a PNY 5070ti that are selling for $1469.

I hope your card works well, without any fan noise. This has definitely turned me off of Palit

                  • @Frobenius: Unfortunately my replacement has some extra noise between 33 and 43% which is where it is most of the time. The double ball bearing fans already have a noise signature of its own so I feel a bit sour about it, but I just turn the speakers up because in store they said it sounds normal (it's pretty noisy at a busy store) so I've given up.
