When I wanna sign up it asked me are you sole trader chose no and ask are you sole director or already has a business account. Chose no again and it asked me to visit a branch lol.

Couldn't retrieve company details using ACN, and couldn't simply not enter an ACN, so that's going nowhere fast.
Completed in 1min, as an existing Westpac customer signed up for the business account in the app.
unable to get past the identification verification stage. after drivers license it says retake photo. after passport it says we're having technical difficulties.
The ID verification is a nightmare.
Countless attempts taking a photo through the app. What worked in the end was taking a photo of my passport with my normal camera app, sending it to my PC and then taking a photo of it when I blew it up big on the monitor.
But then I got a technical error when it tried to verify it. I redid it, and this time I clicked edit (didn't change anything, just saved) and also clicked the agree to terms link. Then it worked. Who knows if this step is required.
But I then failed the selfie pic 3 times. So have to go into the branch now if I want to verify.
I was having trouble with my Samsung S21+ (wasn't focusing on my driver's licence when trying to take the photo), same case with my brother and his S20+
But I tried my Moto G35 that I had lying around and that took the photo, no issues. No focusing issues there. YMMV

At the moment, you can only apply online for a Westpac Business One account if you are a sole trader, sole director or already an existing Westpac business customer (association, company, partnership, SMSF, trust, or not-for-profit).
Despite what they claim even a sole director application results in Westpac insisting I visit a branch (and I'm an existing customer).
So I applied as a sole trader to get the bonus without having to make an appearance.

Nope, not for me. Opened account and deposited the money on the 13th June. Got the same notification from Westpac just before and the $100 is currently showing pending.

Really dumb question but I can't figure it out. How do you get the money out of this business account? It is not allowing me to transfer the money and I cannot even withdraw it from the ATM. Do I need a separate account to do any of that?
You only have business account with Westpac? In my case, I have a personal (Choice) account too, so I transferred it back there
