Have you tried Pure Harvest unsweetened organic? If so what did you think? It's currently my preferred and it's local.
I think I have tried it previously but I honestly don't remember. I will give it another shot and report back.
I’ve tried it once before and it did not taste good. It was really watery and didn’t taste like regular oat milk at all.
Was this recently? The ingredients say whole oats (Min 15%) which seems to be more than other brands discussed here. I also shake well before use because the contents tend to separate which I don't mind at all.
I don't rate this one for coffee / drinks / cereal but it's a fine cheaper option for inclusion in cooking. I did once buy a dozen on special (the risks we take) and got through a few of them but I could tell the difference - IMO it's not worth trashing the morning coffee with sub-par milk.
If you like oatly consider so good barista oat when on special for $3, sometimes $2.50 - I actually prefer it to oatly now. (must be barista version, other version not as good - don't let vile so good soy milk persuade your interest).
Nice, thanks for the insight!
I did at one point buy one of every oat milk I could get my hands on at the supermarket to test; but, it's probably time to revisit to see if I like a cheaper/local alternative.
The biggest problem with coffee/tea is I find the subpar milks seperate extremely easily. It is so sad when you pour it in and end up with a grainy morning brew.
i bought australian organic brand and that separated. it was a good deal so i bought 6. tried 1 time and it separated and looked nasty in my coffee. tasted gross too. trying to find my cheapest option because anything labelled barista cost at least double.
no wonder its so cheap.
The Almond milky is great! Shame it’s not on sale
Currently on sale at Coles
How is this for barista heat for coffee?
It's fine, can go much hotter than cows milk without flavour being affected. I've found each batch of Milky varies in how well it will produce microfoam though, but generally it's decent enough to practice basic latte art. This is my current favourite of all the non-barista oat milks. I can't justify paying 3-4 times more for the barista ones
Serious question. Why is there a Vitasoy Oat Milk and a Vitasoy Oat Milky?
I looked at both of them at Coles and I was under the impression that “Milky” was Vitasoy’s “barista” line, but they also have Vitasoy Barista Oat Milk…
Oat milk has 10% oats, oat milky 8%. I haven't tried the oat milky, but I assume it has a milder flavour profile.
I buy both. regularly on special at coles. I bulk buy which ever one.
I don't taste a difference (but i usually have it with coffee or smoothy)
Standard and Milky are unsweetened with milky being a bit thicker and with less oat content.
Barista has added sugar and is designed to foam better (probably because of the emulsifier).Standard (Unsweetened)

Whos 12 yo child is this
if i drink cow milk.. i need to clean the hills as well as the valley.
Soy > Oat
For those wondering, this one frothes well in the Nespresso frothing machine. Most Oat milk just turn out 'flat'. The 'milky' version Frothes
Most oat milks will froth but will dissipate a lot quicker than other milks.
Can't see subscribe and save option. Delivery is 2-4 weeks. Maybe gone on back order so s&s option goes away?
Alternative "barista" variety is the best I've found, most milk-like. However this is a very good price.
How does this rate vs premium brands like Oatly?
I haven't tried this one for a while but I do feel bad about buying an imported product like Oatly all the time. It is the best I have tried though and I can buy in bulk at costco.
