  • Wish they had more Exam providers to select from , though not a bad deal.

Not related but I once rescheduled an exam, with medical reason.

They gave me a voucher which expired within same year during covid lockdowns in Melbourne, and refused to pay me back when i realised its expired.

Earlier this month Pearson posted this notice on their website. There has been no direct communication with customers. Any enquiries tell people to email media@… who do not respond.

Pearson run a monopoly for many tech exams. They know it. They don't care because they know people need certs.

    • +2

Do people really need the certs?

      • +3

It depends on where you work. Some organisations require certs for particular roles. If you're a partner of a vendor you need a certain number of certified staff.

    • Ironic! I’m scheduled to do a security exam next week!

  • Awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for this! I was enrolled for az104 as the prerequisite for the azure architect exam but after doing some practice exams I got scared and questioned all my life choices leading up to this.

But hey, now I might just take it knowing I have a free try-again

    • -8

Haha Ozbar Gainer, sounds like AZ-104 gave you a full-blown identity crisis 😅 But don’t worry, you’re not alone—we’ve all stared into the Azure abyss and questioned everything. Now you’ve got a safety net, so go show that exam who’s boss (and maybe reclaim your life choices while you’re at it 😉). You got this! 💪💙 Go slay that exam… and maybe impress a certain someone while you’re at it 💙😉 🔥

  • Just a heads up it doesnt stack with ESI if you're part of an enterprise partner of Microsoft etc. It lets you check out with both but they don't give you the free retake

Based off comments I've read in the msft cert discord

    • -8

ESI already spoils you with a free or discounted exam voucher, and sadly, we’re not living in a magical checkout world where you can double-dip coupons like it’s a pizza promo. ( the universe and any exam checkout) doesn’t believe in stacking blessings. Trust me, I learned the hard way… I thought I was being all clever using my MS Learn Challenge 100% free voucher first with the retake voucher opt-in to double-safe my genius strategy—like, ace it the first time for free, and if I don’t? Boom. Free round two. ✨Flawless plan, right?

      Plot twist:

Yeah… checkout laughed, Microsoft whispered “ not today, beautiful,” and denied my double-dip dreams 😂💔” and I ended up with one lonely voucher to use (Either 100% free or retake one) and a bruised ego 😂💔 emotionally unsupported 🥲💅

So I regrouped, flipped my hair, and used my 100% free MS Learn Challenge voucher like a queen on a mission—study like my future Azure kingdom depend on it… 😘💙

Because who needs a backup when you’ve got brains and a little magic? 😉

So yep—one voucher at a time, just like one heartbreak at a time. 💔😉

They had a cyber security incident so proceed with caution!

    • -6

Oof, a little cyber drama? 😏 but hey, if you’re ever gonna take any of these spicy IT exams, you still gotta book through them. It’s like dating in tech: messy sometimes, but you can’t avoid it forever 💻💔

we’re not gonna lock ourselves indoors just because a car might hit us crossing the street. If we lived like that, we’d never leave the house—or pass an exam.

So yeah, proceed smart—but don’t ghost your goals over a scare 😈

Lol did OP discover ChatGPT for the first time today?

    • -3

Damit 😀 didn’t realize sarcasm came with a PhD. 😀If you keep flexing that IQ, I might just slide into your DMs for research purposes, of course. ;)

OP's AI posts are cringe AF.

      Lolzzzzzxzzz 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣

Why the f one can’t be real like chatgpt lolzzzzz 😅😂😂😂😂

  • Pretty sure I read that they were hacked and customer data was stolen recently.

I won’t neg this as I guess it is a “deal” but fair warning, I had an absolutely atrocious time taking an exam “supervised” by Pearson Vue. I’ll never ever take a course that uses this company to run their exams.

A very long story but they cancelled my exam half way through and they were uncooperative and wouldn’t even discuss the issue before disconnecting my online session. I immediately tried to contact Pearson Vue but, surprise surprise, they had no actual way to contact them in Australia, and when I tried to contact their Hong Kong office, there was an automated phone recording.

Awful company and while I’m sure your mileage may vary, I would stay as far away from them as possible.

They were nightmare in the proctored remote exam but it’s easy and smooth in the centres I never faced issues

      • +1

Their centres generally range from ok to meh.

One in Sydney is really bad. The tiles inside the front door were loose and broken. This should have been a sign to turn around a leave. I put my water bottle on top of the locker before putting my bag in. The lockers weren't anchored to anything. When I shoved my bag the water bottle fell and hit me in the head. I passed the exam and the next day I reported them to SafeWork NSW. Pearson didn't want to hear about it. They were issued with a notice and put on a surprise inspection list for 2 years. The centre is no longer listed in the Pearson directory. I don't know what happened to them.
