BSN Lean Dessert Protein (Choc Fudge Pudding Flavour) 2 for $29.23 Plus $6.99 Shipping- Vitacost

40

Hi everyone

Was just surfing Vitacost searching for protein and noticed similar to the Hyper FX deal posted on ozbargain a few days ago http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/90289 that BSN Lean Dessert Protein is also currently buy one get the 2nd half price on Vitacost!

For some reason Choc Fudge Pudding flavour is the real bargain out of the 5 flavours available here because getting 2 x Choc fudge pudding has a weight of exactly 3.4lbs which is the exact maximum weight allowed for the $6.99 shipping. All the other flavours for some reason are very slightly over (eg 3.45lbs) its bizarre making them $27 for 2 which is a little less attractive!

So with the Choc Fudge Pudding flavour you can get 2 x Protein for $29.23 currently plus $6.99 shipping!

The cheapest i have seen this protein is on special for $37 each in a health food store and currently on ebay the cheapest price by an Australian ebay seller is $43 (including postage).

BSN Dessert is a great night time protein helping your body recharge overnight improving performance come your next session. Ive always been a fan.

So take advantage of the strong aussie dollar and try it!

  • Buy something small to make up the $30 and use the $10 discount to get it even cheaper.

    • Only issue people may have with that is the 2x choc pudding is right on the 3.4lbs postage so might be tough to find something small in cost and light enough! If anyone finds something then good for them and good for me, if not then its still a bargain!

      • Vitacost sells sample sachets of pre-workouts and protein for like a buck each. That might work.

They don't ship them to Aus anymore.

  • Some reviews here: http://supplementreviews.com/bsn/lean-dessert-protein-shake

But would still prefer Optimum nutrition 100% all day everyday. =)

    • Agreed ON 100% is the bomb. That's my morning protein with this stuff at night/after workout

      • ON was studied along with a bunch of other proteins.. it actually came out pretty poor in terms of protein efficiency. i saw the link on reddit but couldn't find it.
protein direct/bulk nutrients are still cheaper with quality stuff

    • Just as a FYI. ON gold standard is a whey concentrate. BSN dessert is a blend of caesien, whey and a few others. They are pretty different to each other.

Have you considered Bulk Nutrients? There is a protein calculator on the site that shows how much protein per gram/$ etc you are paying. Its worth checking out and can save you money.

    One review states:

Its the only protein powder in the market that contains the HIGHEST QTY of synthetic flavoring/ serving. Thats why the protein /serving is the lowest in the industry gram for gram.

This product has the HIGHEST QTY of man made flavorings, anti caking powder, sweetener and preservative and the lowest protein.

THE BIG SILLY QUESTION: Why do you pay big dollars to consume tonnes of artificial flavorings and additives?

      +1 for relevant username

    • If you have a look at syntha-6. That's only 50% protein profile yet you pay so much more whilst you can get brands like ON with a much higher protein profile for same or less price.

  • They must have recently updated the product because before the lightest weight was 1.71 weird…

Damn, theres no chance on using the $10 discount on this. You need a minimum purchase of $30.00 (excluding BOGO discounted items).

    1 serving = 1 scoop
    1 to 2 scoops a time, 4 to 5 times a day.
    18 servings per container.
So this container could last a whooping 2 days.
    Bargain?

Just get your proteins by eating proper food.
    And by not eating crap.

Not interested in youtube, but is there something you want to say?

        Maybe I should rephrase:
Just get your proteins by eating proper food. And with that, don't eat the crap that will trigger your body to store any fat (sugar).
        It's quite simple.

        • The link was a joke, but please tell me more about my diet.

If you aren't anabolic you are going to have a quite hard time growing anything. Eating "crap" really has got nothing to do with putting of fat, if you are eating under your calorie requirements and just eating shit you are still going to lose weight, be it fat or most likely lean mass.

I had a piece of cake and a beer last night after a 3 month clean bulk, going from 80-93kg's while keeping my BF virtually the same. My diet is ruined :(

        • My point was that you don't need supplements.
Just by eating the right food, you can achieve the same protein intake (or whatever intake you want).

Any diet is achievable without any of these expensive supplements. (But it's always smart to avoid any sugar intake)

I agree that powders are so overhyped now its not funny.

Who drinks 10 scoops of protein powder a day?! I used to share a house with a competition body builder who didn't consume that much. You would have the most horrible smelling farts too!

  • Looks like we have run them out of stock for the Choc Pudding flavour. Was good while it lasted…
