    Still way overpriced

      And then some.

    • Yeah, I feel like I’d never be comfortable spending over $100 on a bin no matter how rich I was.

  • They are price matching Kitchen Warehouse. That 15% off coupon code doesn't work. Maybe some other codes around??

    GTFO at $180.

  • Stainless steel for tree-fiddy instead of 5 hunjee!

I've had this for 3 years now in our apartment, paid $220 back then. The limited space we have, it's been one of the best buys for us.

Just be aware though, if you are rough with the hinge, you will break it. I found that out the hard way, and had to get a warranty replacement.

We paid $380 for the large stainless steel version of this bin, AMA

I got this bin the first fews days of the Catch fire sale for ~$120. It's a great bin, and doesn't look like it'll rust or fall apart like the Kmart cheapies I had been buying annually. The RRP is crazy.

Having had this bin for 3 years, I must say, it's superb. No issues with the hinge and very practical for smaller spaces. Hard to justify the $300+ price tag, but at this price, it's excellent value.

Best bin we've ever bought! Got sick of the foot pedal breaking in the other bins & when it was around this price last year, we took the chance & have no regrets!

$180 for a box to hold your garbage.
we deserve this cost of living crisis.

At the end of the day you're paying for the design and quality materials.

Please provide a cheaper alternative if one exists.

    • joseph joseph is basically one of those tiktok product now. if you dig through all the temu crap you get stuff like this.

friend of mine "had to have" the laundry bucket thing.

personally even though they obviously designed it a lot, I don't understand it.

the laundry bucket thing had to refillable "bag buckets" in each side, so you carry that to the laundry machine and have to tip it upside down and empty the bag. not exactly easy and I have no idea what front loaders are going to do it will be time consuming and dumb.

this one I also don't really get as a "bin" there is not much space, even though the insides slide out quickly you are going to be emptying them very often. then I also have some worries about sturdiness, it doesn't seem made to last very long. I think it will be more suitable as a storage container, how there are cleaning products in the top of one image.

but then again for $180, no. for under $50 you could probably find something from ikea or just get by with tall plastic bins which can store more garbage.

      • We have the exact same laundry bucket and a front-loader washing machine, you just hold the opening of the bag inside the washing machine and use your other hand to invert it, pretty simple

It doesn't save that much time, but means you don't need to touch the dirty laundry which was the selling point for us. Looks less messy as well with the lid covering it, much better than the kmart one we had before

Bin is great for saving space, and means your dog can't steal from it, seems pretty sturdy. All significantly overpriced, but they're the best products I've ever used, and can't put a price on making the SO happy

        • you just hold the opening of the bag inside the washing machine and use your other hand to invert it, pretty simple

makes sense. I just grab things from the basket and shove it in. šŸ˜‚ but often when it's cloudy out and laundry piles up I need to kind of smartly sort the items in priority and separate into two cycles.

It doesn't save that much time, but means you don't need to touch the dirty laundry which was the selling point for us.

ok. maybe because I'm not a teen anymore but my laundry in general isn't grubby. I don't mind touching it and on rare occasion if anything is grubby I just use a piece of clothing to grab it through and put both in the machine.

          • @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: Yeah, we use one bucket for 'chuck it all in the pot' clothes, and the other for stuff that needs special care like whites or wool, which we wash when enough of a category piles up. Much more space efficient than having two or more baskets.

If you live alone then it doesn't make much sense, like touching your own dirty laundry is whatever because you know what is and isn't gross.

But when living with multiple people you have no idea what bodily fluids went on what, imagine grabbing a handful of laundry and feeling something damp 🤢. Especially prudent if you live with women šŸ˜‚
