50

I was in need of a TV and my research lead me to the TCL 65" C7K. Quite happy with the price I was able to get this TV for, especially considering the performance and how new it is.

Appliance Central had it at $1679
• I reached out to Appliances Online and they price matched it.
JB Hi-Fi price matched it, INCLUDING delivery in the priced match $1679.

  • I just bought a LG 65" QNED86A EVO AI Mini-LED with perks 20% off coupon. 1600 dollars on hand. and ask for a extended service plan from sales of jbhifi, 60 dollars for 4 years warranty.

by the way, I know a Chinese appliance store in Melbourne selling 65 inch c855 with 1300 dollars for clearance. C7K for 1679 is good price but not too good

Shoulda bought the TCL full array mini led instead of a edge lit mini led lol

      • any more suggestion please? I asked Chatgpt it said they are balanced competitors. I am confused now

          Chatgpt did you dirty..

The TCL C7K is a much better buy.

You only buy LG if it's OLED

The only mini led brands to look at this year is Hisense and TCL. And TCL is better just for operating system. If possible I'd return the LG, but that's up to JB. TCL C7K is the best value TV for 2025.

          • @Turnthison: Sony is good but overpriced hey?

            • @bleeder: Sony processing is probably the best, but honestly the only ones I'd recommend are Bravia 8/Bravia 8 MK2 (OLEDS). If your looking at anything not OLED, then buy some form of a TCL. If you have a media device (apple tv, NVIDIA shield etc), then you could get a Hisense. But honestly TCL is the full package ATM (with a budget of course).

It worries me how much faith people put in ChatGPT.
Full array mini-led is leaps and bounds ahead of edge lit for contrast and deep blacks.

    • Damn, I just paid $1700 for the C855, although I probably have more faith in Jbhifi than a random Chinese appliance store

      • I don't think this is better than C855, I think C855 slightly better, not 100% sure though.

        • Yes C7K is better than c855

          • +1

@Turnthison: How so? I believe C855 is brighter and has more dimming zones. What does the C7K have over the C855?

            • @bleeder: Yes the C855 has slightly higher brightness and dining zones. But the new HVA panel on the c7K is overall a better looking panel, better viewing angles, and importantly better reflection handling. The C855 doesn't handle reflections well. But I'd still recommend people to get a c8K, absolutely gorgeous TV.

              • @Turnthison: Thanks, that's good to know.

I've seen a few other comments on here saying C855 is better. I'm leaning toward a 65" C5 at the moment, waiting on EOFY sales or Black Friday, hoping for low $2000s. But 75" would be the perfect size for my room, so I have been considering a 75" C8K (again I'll wait for big specials).

Sorry to say, but it was $1349 on Powerland EBay last week.

Got a link? I can't find that deal.

      • It was a limited offer last week. EBay has some of the best deals on TVs like this one.

People must never post them to OzB cause I've been looking at TVs on here every day for the past couple of years, the only eBay deals I usually see are Sony seconds store. I think I've seen a TGG and Bing Lee a few times but it's rare.
