Just spoke to them, finishes 4/06. Can get a refund on the difference in store, doesn't have to be the store you bought it from. If you want to do it over the phone they offered to send a gift card for the difference.
Bought this exact same model w/ storage a fortnight ago. Just did the live chat support and a refund for the price difference has been processed. Sweet.
My relative got a iPhone Pro Max 256 GB from JB on 27th at 5.30pm and but manager refused to price match within 24 hours when he went around 4 PM on the 28th May
Any suggestion to escalate this issue to get the difference?
Go to a different store
JB HIFI doesn’t do Price Match other sellers on the contract deal but now they reduced their OWN price hence you should get the difference back. Just be firm or try other store. I have done this multiple times across multiple stores in different states in the past years never had any problem.
What are the chances of Apple announcing the new iPhone at WWDC in a few weeks and releasing the iPhone 17 earlier than usual? Seems a bit odd many places are clearing out iPhones so early in the year
There is talk of Apple moving to a twice a year cycle, with the Pros being released in September and the regular phone about 6 months after, but I haven't confirmed it with Tim yet.
There is no chance there will be an early release this year.

Officeworks / Bunnings from my knowledge are the only major stores that price beat, if you meant price match at Officeworks or apple they likely wont except a receipt as proof you would show them the website of whatever competitor listing (my link) and they will check to see if it is applicable for a price beat/match. apparently apple can price match up to 10% of their price but not sure about how that works entirely, likely wont get it for 1661 at apple probably closer to 1800 in that case it would be cheaper to buy straight from Officeworks.

If you have a receipt it doesn’t actually mention anything that you got it on plan - just that you paid with gift card. I feel there’s a good chance you’ll get money back

Wish I got in on the $1400 gift card but had to wait for my iPhone 15 Pro Refund from officeworks as it had died within a year. The board surprisingly failed.

Apple Store can price match their authorised resellers - up to 10% max.
Anyone from Perth WA able to do the price match after getting the $1400 voucher? If so which store?
My relative got the iPhone ProMax 256GB on the last day of the deal but two stores refused to price match in Perth claiming that we were not allowed to "double dip" considering the voucher for the same deal had dropped to $900 instead of the $1400.
The store manager would not accept our argument that the voucher was separate from the purchase of the iPhone
You don’t even need to talk about the voucher and contract etc at all.
You only need to provide the original receipt and show them the current price then ask for the difference back.
We did not talk about the voucher but both store managers figured it out !
The price was already reduced since yesterday - at least for the 128GB variant when I checked
