Samsung Galaxy S3 16GB Australian Stock $614 JB Hi-Fi Sydney

110

Was at JBHIFI Strand Arcade looking for the S3. Retail was $688, and asked him what the cheapest he could do it for was. Said $614.

Other online stores will have it cheaper, but considering this is local australian stock, unlocked, with 2 years warranty I think it's a good deal.

White 16gb Telstra model but unlocked. $579+$10.95 shipping or pickup from VIC. On back order but still cheaper.

Very good price. Though my understanding was the I9000T Telstra version isn't as good as the I9000 International version if you're not on Telstra, mainly due to the radio preferencing certain network frequencies and upgrading issue

      • been using vodaf*** number for quite a while now on I9305T bought from telstra… same same..strong signal still in melb.

is this supposed to be a good price? i got mine around 6 months ago for 569 32gb white from kogan

Did you read the OPs title?

  • Is this for the G3 or G4 model?

Seems like prices for this phone have gone up. 3 months ago I paid $550 for an Australian version with 32GB

    • This is the 3G model

  • While a good price, I bought a 32gb S3 on catchoftheday last week for $602 inc delivery (from memory) Australian stock so 16gb for roughly the same price is not really a good bargain in my mind…

    • wouldnt COTD have been grey import stock? leaving you with no warranty except hte one that COTD offers?

      • According to the page (at the time) was Australian Samsung stock with 2 years warranty (it later said it may have Optus software installed on it so it may be stock optus wanted to get rid off - hopefully bloatware I can easily remove)

  • Good deal or not make sure you ppl keep things backed up. Its not a Samsung bashing but just a warning of how things are.

Personally my next phone is going to be an Euro import. They get all the latest updates first.

Pretty decent for a Samsung supplied Australian (A-tick?) model, i.e. 2 year local Samsung warranty and not 1 year send back to the importer warranty.

Another option if you want local stock / 32gb optus/software

better look out for the samsung S3 sudden death issue…
I'd rather pay the extra money and get an iPhone that can be replaced on the spot.
Hundreds of people are having massive issues with this handset, head over to whirlpool to read about it.

My daughter wants to sell her S3 i9300 White 32MB. She wants to get an iPhone5, as she has a Macbook and iPod touch. I should have had more forethought when I showed her the pros and cons of Android over iPhone, but anyway……..

She bought it on 1st October 2012 from Kogan with 3 yr extended warranty.
The warranty can be transferred. It is running v4.1.1 and has a Samsung AUS charger. Still have the original box and documentation. It is in perfect condition.
$550 + postage, please email me if your interested.

    • You should post to Selling or Swapping forum if you have something to sell (individual seller only, no business). I'm marking this sub-thread as off-topic.

  • @zonder, did you ask them at the store personally?

Anyone else know where to buy 16GB white Australian stock version for less than $630 or even better, under $600?

    • Yes, asked a guy in the store.

      • Think i could get the same deal if i asked? Can't seem to find the place on Google Maps.

        • It's opposite the Apple Store on George St. Look for The Strand Arcade.

If you bring the receipt they should be able to match it.

        • Ahkay, thanks for the help. :) Might post again if i have any other questions.
