i have been their prepaid and nbn customer. More has been good at their service and customer service. money is subjective to individual's affordability.

  • +4

This was 40% off for 12 months for me, deal expires 3rd June. If you're an existing customer you have to call customer support to apply the code.

    • Could you actually do this? Last time, I was with them for 12 months on a 50% discount. When the promotion expired, I contacted their support to ask if I could continue using a new promo code, but they refused. So I had to switch to a different ISP for a month and then rejoin them with a new promotion.

      • Yes, I was on a previous 40% off for 12 months deal. It could be that I paid one invoice at the full price (well, 10% off for Yello). I don't know, but I called up, and the friendly person applied the code and sent me on my way. I called a few days later to check, and the code was applied to my account.

        • They did for a bit but then the higher ups clamped down on it. Swap to one of those pay by day isps for a day then reconnect to more with the code.

Edit this was a year ago when i tried to get a second discount term applied. Seems to have changed since.

Ended up moving to ABB Pro plan. If more do 1000/400 I’ll come back :)

      • They were happy to take new codes. Have done that a couple of times. However I only had 30% recently.

    • +2

My 12 month period expired, i didnt realise so paid higher for a month.

I lodged a support ticket with them advising if I could discount or would need to switch. They said aslong as I had a current offer Yello and was able to provide screenshot of the code they give me the discounted price

Provided the screenshot and got another 12 months, at 40% offer as it was still 40% 2 or months ago

    • Yep, can confirm this. Just did it with 40% code I had.

    • You can actually just chat with them.
I said "I have a new code, can you apply it for me please? Or should I cancel my service and apply with code next month?"
A bit passive aggressive, but it worked.

    • I just used web chat instead of calling they were happy to apply the new code which extended my promo another 12months

  • +2

That 100/20 price is nice for when 500/50 kicks in

    • -1

They'll probably hike the prices due to increased costs. It's not because nbn gives more, that the RSPs will give more for the same price..

  • Yeah I signed up for More last month and I’m pretty sure I am getting 35% off my NBN plan.

They must have reduced the discount.

    • I just checked myself, it's targeted. I am also getting 35% on the app when checking it online too.

OP only got the 30% discount.

I think it also depends what level of CommBank yellow you have.

      • Correct .. if you have more than 30 outward transactions on Cwth accounts per month then Yello bumbs up your membership level and you get the 35% off
contingent on you using a Cwth card to pay for the service

        • Correct, and it's easy to meet the min monthly transactions (even if it's not your main bank).

      • 40% with CBA home loan

  • +5

Been with them 3 years. 2 times@30% and currently @35% . They have been great for me.

    • Did you hsve to contact them after the 1st time or you did it online? Or you had to switch to another ISP and rejoin them again as someone mentioned above? Tia

      • +2

I just logged a service ticket recently and they applied the code. Had it iniitally during '23 and just rolled 10% disc for the last 1.5 years. Now back to $10 off mobiles (about 30%) and 30% off NBN. 2 mobiles and 100/40 for about $114

    • +1

Do you game at all if so whats latency like?

      • No gaming. Sorry.

      • +1

30+ms in FNQ, 20+ in SEQ tested with LOL. It has been really consistency for me

        • Thanks for reporting, makes me feel better since I got it coming end of next month

  • +2

Was with them for 3 months and couldn't take it anymore. peak hours were dreadful, even on FTTP, drop outs, and the usual 'speed tests' seem fast.

Switched to superloop since late 2023, not even 1 drop since.. YMMV, just my 2 cents.

    • +2

That’s what I found! On a super fast plan, it was disgraceful. Had to switch back out to Superloop. The discount wasn’t worth it. Likewise, Speedtests were fine but the reality was anything but.

Any smart person know why this was?

      • congestion within their own network you'd suspect.

    • Same experience coming from Telstra. Can’t wait to switch back.

    • Guess everyone experience is different

I was woth spintel and i had 1000s drops outs, 20 to 50 day at times, blaming my equipment which was FTTC.

Switched over to FTTP More and maybe had a couple drop outs in like 15 month period.

  • I have been with them for close to 3 years now and they have been good. However off late I have been noticing some disruptions and slow speeds.
The networks getting congested ? too many new customers may be ? Anyone else in a similar boat?

  • im on the TPG 800 plan $94/m, 6 month promo, later goes upto $109/m dont need to be a commbank customer, getting speeds over 950mb/s

  • I was with them last year at 35% off, renewed this year with CBA code at 50% off. However, speed is getting slower than before, not even on par with my superloop 2 years ago, but big saving is a plus. When I say speed is slower it means, I used to watch 3x netlfix 4K at the same time, now only 2x with no issues. Can't complain.

    • How did you renew with code? My 1st year is about to expire, been happy with my phone and nbn. How do i keep getting the discounts?

      • +3

Contact their Live Chat - they'll add the discount to your account for the next 12 months.
I just did it again now, thanks to this post as reminder :)

Btw, their live chat will reach out to you within 1-3 business days if the code doesn't work.

        • I just checked my commbank yello. I have no code this time. Should i just ask? what is the discount - 35% or 50% off?

          • @bigdeak: Depends what eligibility you have. Open Commbank Yellow > Offers > View all > Scroll down to Specials and scroll across - it'll show discounts NBN and mobile if you received them.

            • @adzk: That's exactly where i checked. Nothing this time.

              • @bigdeak: If you open CommBank Yello, if eligible it'll say you're either Everyday, Everday Plus or Homeowner Benefits. Might be worthwhile contacting their live chat. Although, may get stuck, as they always ask for a code. Best of luck!

    • +2

I thought the max is 40% with home loan. How did you get 50%.

      • Correct. My bad. Only 40% max.

  • +2

my experience was far from pleasant. constant drop outs, flakey connection. went back to Launtel and it was instantly better and stable.
More support were not that helpful with troubleshooting past the basics. turn it off and back on again.
For me the frustrations werent worth the savings. ymmv

    • FTTP?

      • +1

        Yes FTTP.

    • +1

Been with more for almost the past 3 years (bundled for free with home loan with CBA) and I've noticed latency spikes happen fairly frequently causing connection issues. I upgraded my router to a Unifi UDR and the local network is rock solid. I logged a case with support and they want me to test a computer direct to the NCD (FTTC here). I am yet to do that but I should to isolate the issue further, maybe a job for the weekend.

Pay cheap get cheap it seems..

      • I went through all the usual troubleshooting. They refuse to accept its not something client side. The portal is lackluster and there isn't much by the way of tools.
Launtels ability to flex speeds for a day are great for big backup days etc

        • +1

The support is pretty much useless and inexperienced, from the times I had to contact them at least.
Problem is always on the customer side, when you prove it's not your side they blame nbn.

I have Wireshark captures proving their server didn't respond.
When they didn't believe me I did the same with another PC, modem logs of PPP session etc.
On the phone the support person angrily said something if I was support or if I was going to be as I was told.
Took a few months, raised to telecom ombudsman to get resolution.
I was asking compensation for a few days where Internet didn't work (basically $6 or so, out of principle) flat out refused even after escalation to mediation team. In the end they reached out to settle, after telecom ombudsman complaint, offered 2 months free Internet if I dropped the complaint.

Another time during WFH the Internet didn't work at all for a full day, but Launtel saved the day, just paid for 1 day on another port (fttp) - this is now my backup service.

As long as it works, it's good though. I get good download speeds on my 100Mbps (actually getting more than that).
Still happy with the discount, still using them.
Had no issues for a while now.

      • From what I can tell, they are the same as Tangerine as their support asked if I am enquiring asked if I am a Tangerine or More customer.

    • +1

      Completely same experience

      Hfc

Previous post should have been a long running deal.
Changes to Commbank yello happening next week. Different tiers (4 tiers) with different eligibility requirements.

    • Do you have more details on those tiers and what's the eligibility criteria?

      • -1

It's on the commbank website somewhere

  • Great price and great product, quietly hoping everyone keeps doing the superloop/abb/exetel shuffle to keep prices and speeds as they are.

  • +1

Didn’t have many problems with More but just churned out to make the most of another deal and some how two days after my FTTN transferred to the new provider they’ve sent me a “Welcome to More” email, churned me back to More and charged me for 2x Monthly service charges (for apparently two different services)

It’s been quite impressive really. Customer retention team earning their dollars 🤣

  • -8

my nbn yello promo code just expired. called CS and thy told me they cant apply the same code i used the last time… so no extension…

i had to signup for a new NBN line using the same account number, the same house address and its possible using the same promo code…

    such a mess..

    • Why do you neg? You are getting the deal aren't you? So much so that you went through the "trouble" to get it for the second time.

    • Why neg a deal that you are clearly benefiting from

  • Is it hard to open a commbank account that would be eligible for Commbank Yello that's fee free?

Have got a Commsec account and CDIA tied to it but doesn't seem to be eligible?

    • If you can deposit $2000 into the account each month (you can transfer it elsewhere later), they're all free. You still need to make at least 30 card transactions to get into the better yello tiers.

  • How much is 50mbps?

  • We've been with them for 3 years now, 3 x 40% off codes. For our 1st year, we didn't know that we could just renew with different code, so we changed name (we have 2 offers under credit and debit cards). Last renewal I asked if I could continue without changing name, the lady on the phone helped me with the whole process. Such a big savings with this 40% off NBN + $20 off mobile phone plan.

  • +1

One of the most terrible providers! Still too expensive at 80% off!

My life changed totallly since I started using Superloop 1000 mb :)

  • Mine is 40% off (part of homeowner package). Just used it yesterday to resign up nbn and 2 SIM cards after ported them out 1 month ago to get my 12 months discount restarted.

    • Nice. My package didn't give that

  • +1

Had a lot of dropouts with them. Their online member portal thingy is kind of bad. And when you first connect to them, its neddlessly complicated requiring a login in with a username and password.

  • +1

One thing to note is that there will be a $2-5 price increase from June 4 for 100/40 and below. You will need to factor in the new price when calculating the 30% off.

  • Previously tried to apply the yellow code again and 2x online chat agents said it was successful, was charged $135 for subsequent months instead of $80s anyway.

  • 35% for me!

  • I contacted them two weeks ago as my current contract is expiring soon, and they applied my new code (40% off) for another 12 months without any issues.

  • Does it matter if we give the codes away?

    • Dont think so. Hope a 40% code

      • Only got 35% expires in 4 days.

    • +1

You’re free to share codes without any issues. Just keep in mind that if you choose to sign up for a service with them, you won’t be able to. You’ll need to log in using the credentials from your first account with More. As far as I know, you can have up to two NBN plans and five mobile plans, but all services must be linked to the same account when you sign up

      • Have you worked out how to sign up with code?

If I try to order a NBN plan with my promo code in the bottom field, I get "As you already have an active offer, you are not allowed to add non-offer products. Please remove the offer to add non-discounted products."

If I login, I get "Sorry! This offer code is not valid this account." [sic]

  • +1

I have been on more NBN for the past three years, spoke to them on the phone and they have applied this 40% discount in my existing account.

  • +1

I've just switched from Leaptel. I think I will be promptly returning back.

  • +1

Do these 100/20 plans automatically upgrade in September when the new NBN changes happen?

    • I don't believe More NBN has released anything about it yet but I think it applies to all ISP's as it's NBN Co wholesale speed upgrades (On FTTP and HFC) and should automatically upgrade.

  • -1

I have more and they’re really good. For about 3 years I paid $2 a month for internet. I got a mortgage with CBA

    • how did u get $2 a month ?

      • With mortgage loan with CBA(got offset account annual fee $395, get $50 off/m with More )

        • -1

Literally everyone that has a CBA home loan pays that ridiculous $395 fee.
You'll have to explain far more clearly how you're getting $2 p/m for internet as the Yellow promos only give you a percentage off.

          • +1

@ph81: When I signed up for a cba mortgage in 2022 they gave you a gift of 3 years free internet. I think it was a base plan and I wanted faster down/up speed and it cost me $2 extra. I now pay 64 a month but had to use a yello coupon. The free internet was great.

            • @twotwotwo: Ah that'd explain it and a good deal. Did you go through a broker? We signed up to their package in mid 2021 through a broker and no sign of that deal. Would've soothed my raging heart for the rip of a $395 fee. 😂

              • +1

@ph81: I went direct, I thought of a broker but I also thought why go through a third party just go direct to bank. Not sure if rate would have been better but by the time I got the house in late 2022 rates were already rising.

  • Good better best, we will never rest…

  • Can you port an existing land line number over to More? It's not clear there's an option.

If not, need to quickly sign up to a VoIP service and port the number there, but it may take weeks. Risky to lose to the number once NBN is moved from current RSP?

My parents use the land line a lot, they are on FTTC, keen to move them to FTTP. Need to get the ball rolling within the next couple days before the deal ends.

I guess they will initially continue on FTTC, and wait for fibre upgrade (it's available). Not too sure what will happen to their phone.

    • Better use More online chat to confirm

      • Turns out there is a home phone option for $10 extra:

        • Add a modem?
        • Add a home phone?
        • Add a SIM-Only mobile plan?

However, the option disappears in Yello order flow. Not sure if it's deliberate or an oversight, don't see why they want to exclude it. Will have to contact them to find out.

        • So the reason home phone disappeared in Yello flow is because home phone only qualifies for 20% discount, it's not part of greater NBN discount.

Contact centre can add it, but they didn't make it available in online order, possibly an edge case that they didn't think worthy of customising.

  • I had the More offer all year and it disappeared last week, now sure why

    • did your yello tier change?

      • Nah, I tried to by making 30 transactions of $1 but I didn't get upgraded

  • I signed up using one of the older Yello codes with a higher percentage discount. Been really happy so far on their 250mbps plan. Decided to move our mobile plans off Boost to More as well. So far so good.

  • +1

Avoid. Just cane back from nz - sim card stopped working. Raised 3 tickets, which were closed promptyly due to the fact that they tried "calling me/ contact me with no success".

    • my debit card which was used nowhere else except them had fraudulent transactions few days after signup. combank did recover the money and later I complained to more and they did internal ‘investigation’ and as expected nothing wrong on their end was found, surely dodgy.

  • Have they announced 1000/100 plan availability and price for September?

  • +1

My tangerine discount expires on 14 July. Can I move from
Tangerine to More despite being the same company ?

    • You should be able to do that. Same parent company (and upstream provider, Vocus) but different retail company.

  • +1

Lots of drop outs and customer service is the most horrible I have ever seen. Replies in two days…
