That is a great deal for someone looking to get into Bosch 12v, or just starting out with no tools.
edit: maybe not so great a deal. - A Ryobi Hammer/impact kit and a rotary skin will be $268 at bunnings. Ryobi has a pretty big range these days, could be the more useful system to invest in.
Yeah, nah. Bosch blue is well above Ryobi
if you're after 12v, the hikoki 12v deal posted here is far better:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/902517
the drill is a hammer as well, has a higher top speed of 1700rpm, and the impact driver has much more torque, the batteries are 2.5ah instead of 2
What I like about the bosche is the base is smooth, so I can easily keep it in a tool pouch. The hikoki has the big square battery and so won't fit
If you only want a drill and and impact it is possibly a better deal.
But if you want other tools, not so much. I am pretty sure they only have the drill and impact available here. They did have a multi tool but that's no longer available.
If you look at the actual Bosche "tax time deals" they say if you buy the kit you get an angle grinder worth 289. Have tried to claim and they knocked it back so far, but I'll see how I go.
**Bonus items are provided upfront in Total Tools, Sydney Tools, Bunnings, and Tool Kit Depot, they are excluded from
online redemption.https://www.boschbluecrew.com.au/Landing/Content/Docs/v5_Fin…
Thanks OP! I've been looking at getting into a 12V ecosystem. For what I find myself doing, the 18V Dewalt tools I have are way overkill.
Yes,12v tools are way underrated, They are just nicer to use for most every day tasks. I am currently well into the Makita 12v range, but Bosch make extremely good tools and have stuff not available from any other brand in 12V. Plus this kit is a very good price. They should serve you well. Hope you enjoy them:)
12V drills very handy, and will be more than sufficient for most jobs around the house - particularly if trade quality like Bosch blue. By comparison I got the Milwaukee one a few years ago for around ~$400
