Bunnings do 8.5KG(9KG) for $18.50 for cylinder exchange…

    • Depends on where the Bunnings store is re competition, often a BCF nearby will get you that price.

    • really? the seven eleven in telopea does refill via giant elgas tanks for $19.99, great price all day everyday and i get to keep the same good quality tank i bought

    no deal!
    $38.95 to swap = $28.95 (after disc.)
    Bunnings swap = $21.95

    • That must vary depending on where you live. The Bunnings store here charges nearly $30

Bunnings swap = $21.95 (Lower North Shore NSW)

Same in Melb (well I think it's $21.85) as advertised in the Melb papers

  • Anyone know how much they charge for a cylinder without swapping?

    • $89.95

      • Thanks. Yeah no deal here better off at masters

        • how much is masters for swap and out right?

        • Masters is $30 for the empty cylinder, and iirc $20 for an exchange

      • better st stratco, believe they do it for about $62. i could b wrong, they did have a discount for a while at $50

I need to fill my cylinder also. Thanks to the previous posters I guess I will go to Bunnings now :)

    • My cylinder needs unfilling.

        OzBargain BBQ @ Vallani's

  • Well then chuck a barbie and invite OzBarginers around for a free feed.

  • I reckon marginal deal too. Cheaper at Bunnings/ BBQ Galore although the level of convenience is high at the servo and cheaper than usual so still a positive for me :)

  • At Stratco 2 years back I bought a 9kg cylinder for $40 ish and it was filled for free.
That may still have this offer.

I have a empty 3.8 that I need to get rid off.
Is my best bet to go to masters to swap for a filled 9kg for $32?

  • $28.95 after after discount is definitely no deal.

  • Just swapped my 8.5kg at bunnings the other week for about 18 bucks.

  • yeah even at $10 is not anywhere near a deal. Coles servo's are clearly charging for convenience. $23.95 the last time i swapped and go'd at Bunnings Alexandria!

  • My local BP here in the sticks has the Kleenheat 8.5kg swaps at 2 for $50. Been this price for months now.

  • Thanks to all who've pointed out Bunnings price on bottle swaps - will go there next time instead of my local servo that charges $28 or 30.

  • Timing! 2 of my bottles are empty!
I was going to + this, but after reading comments I think I'll sit on the fence and see what the local Bunnings are charging first. seeing as I'm there often enough!
Ps. Tyrepower store (Frankston) used to charge $18 for a 9kg (refill only). But I need to swap an old dodgy one!

  • I have refilled my gas tank SEVERAL times.

bunnings is by far the cheapest. Their price fluctuates though. At the moment it's around $21.95 whilst other times it can be $19.95 for an 8.5kg.

Coles/BP/Woolworths fuel/IGA/7-11 etc are just rip offs. They like to charge about $46.95 for an 8.5kg.

  • If your happy to refill my local Bp does it for $20 for. 9kg. United is roughly the same price.

Not quite ready to swap my newish bottle yet.
