Made in China from Australian wool and sheepskin
I mean, could be assembled in Australia by China lmao
Most Chinese living in Australia won't work in a factory. Most of them are loaded or obtained higher education.
@marshmall0w2: Mate, it's literally in the first sentence of the article. You are confusing the China which is the world's factory and the subject of this conversation with… Taiwan.
@rumblytangara: Yeah my bad. I just assumed that the franchisee owner of this Din Tai Fung is probably from China than actually from Taiwan. But in any case, I don't believe in the statement "most Chinese" simply because I believe there are plenty of pockets of below-minimum labor of Chinese workers here.
I believe there are plenty of pockets of below-minimum labor of Chinese workers here.
The bubble you live in must be in another dimension lolrofllmao. The poor from Mainland China can't afford to leave and those that can are loaded. Chinese students don't need to work here since they're also loaded.
People who works in factories are likely trade school drop outs or Arjun from Punjab enrolled at a international collage.

Should be major cities, not really whole Australia.
Check Dubbo sheep factory, all Chinese from China.
Oh my sweet summer child.
This is untrue, Chinese living in Australia come from a range of circumstances.
Yes - The UggSince1974 boots are made in Australia - at Burleigh. (They are 3-4 times the price.) To sell them overseas, they have to remove the Ugg reference.
Nerd note - the Ugg boot was invented by surfer Shane Stedman for cold Sydney winter mornings. He sold the rights many years ago but part of the deal was he got a free pair of Uggs each year for 10 years. He said he still gets new boots each year even though the 10 year clause ran out a couple of decades ago.
Appreciate the Nerd note, thanks.
At least when he kicks himself for selling the rights, his feet are warm!
Chinese have been making shoes for thousands of years, they probably know what they are doing.
This is how I see it honestly. The artisan shoe makers in China are probably better at it than some Australian.
Chinese companies will make products to speck. If US or foreign companies want better quality they can make it.
Its all made for price point and market
Chinese have been making shoes for thousands of years, they probably know what they are doing.
Have you ever seen what 'traditional Chinese shoes' are? They are complete jokes- either impractical silly things for rich people or wooden clogs and straw sandals.
Atleast its not a deckers ugg product…
Sizes for manlets only
Yeah where's me men's 13 at
Says it can't deliver to my NSW south coast address? Haven't see that before… all other items in my cart okay except the ugg boots? strange.
Same for me up the coast.
Yet Amazon delivers practically everything…
Don't bother with groceries etc though.@snappy1234 yeah fair enough… just hadn't seen a "can't deliver" before. I mean its Ugg Boots not weapons grade plutonium haha
Ironically had a very dangerous 😉⚰️❌️
Lithium product delivered by Amazon today 😆
Same for me as well, but outer suburbs of Melbourne… haven't had that before, I order a LOT of stuff from amazon.
Yeah same mate, we order a lot through Amazon as well… first time i saw this can't deliver message, Thought it was a odd.
Is this the genuine UGG or a Chinese clone with UGG being prefix then followed by any random suffix to make it sound like real UGG?
Option B
The genuine UGG company was foreced to rebrand to UGG Since 1974. These ones are fakes.
A genuine UGG is made in the factory across the street, what's the difference? Other than the money 'UGG' spends on advertising? Which you pay for.
Some Aussie brands like EMU make their stuff locally.exactly. people need to stop getting so caught up in the UGG branding
My genuine UGG are still going from 2010.
The cheap chinese UGG fell apart in 2 years. They also feel a lot different.
Do you know where I can purchase them online ?
The same are cheaper on ebay BTW. The regular price is $54 dollars but regularly included in the sales:- https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/274667444135
These aren't the same product. I don't know if one is better than the other, but there is a big difference between the good and bad ones.
I went with the amazon one, ebay reviews are a lot more hit and miss than amazon (not that amazon is foolproof)
at this point I don't feel like the ugg name means much, and there's no such thing as "real" or "fake" sheepskin slippers/boots
my slippers are from Mortels in the Hunter region. ostensibly they're Australian-made UGGs, but the word "UGG" isn't used on the product
Did some work for the Mortels
Helping tidy up their patterns ? ( boot formed around them)
Had a branch at West Gosford.
Great seat Covers too…
Always had high end vehicles getting fitted.
Looks the same as the Aldi ones for $49.99. Last seen in April. They are decent enough. I grabbed a pair 2 years ago and still going strong (Indoor use & only during cooler months).
They were at my local Aldi last week for that price… and right now on clearance for $39, I just bought a second pair tonight to hide away for when my current ones wear out.
Noob question as someone who haven't use these. Do you wear them with socks? If no socks, don't the feet get sweaty as presumably foot will be quite warmed up. Might stink after few days and need to put them in washing machine quite often.
Don't wear socks, if it's proper natural wool it shouldn't smell too much. I've never washed a pair of boots. If you have excessively sweaty and smelly fear YMMV.
No socks - no real smell. You can get deodorising sprays for shoes that I have used after a few years of use.
I wouldn't put them in the wash (unless the care instructions allows)
Out of curiousity, how are these ones different to the ones on sale in ALDI a few weeks ago?
They aren't but for those who missed out can grab these.
I'd recommend checking out your local Aldi - they still have them at my local, and on clearance for $39
Are these the UGG that are Made in Australia genuine ones or the cheap copycat Chinese UGG that fall apart?
Only little people sizes.
This one from Target is quite good, Sheepskin and Leather, tried today, also fit men if you are size 10 or 11, same men one $60 but they are the same.

Not the same. Different soles which wear iot quicker if the same as my previous pair? The ones here have a thin rubber layer on bottom of sole. No doubt decent enough though.
iot quicker if the same as my previous pair?
Are you sure your previous pair is the same as this one? Target have others non sheepkin and leather like this one and a lot cheaper but look the same.
More about the soles, the ones I had were proper sheepskin/wool but soles didn’t have seperate thin rubber base and wore down unevenly quickly. Fine for indoor use, I just prefer the ones with the addition of rubber base. Look at the last pic on Amazon. you can see the sole. Are Targets like that or all one piece?
Mine just arrived. comfy. seems good quality
Got mine yesterday - slightly larger than I wanted, but only slightly - will keep these as the next one down will likely be too snug (and not worth the effort)
I'm shocked at how good these regulate temperature - was expecting it to get too warm, but nope - perfect temperature!
The big difference between these and most of the others i've seen is the sole - proper sole instead of that crappy zig zag sole on the other ones.
Anyone still waiting for theirs to ship? I ordered on the 4th and it was supposed to be delivered on the 12th, now I've got an email from Amazon saying there's a delay.
Ordered on the 3/6. After multiple changes to delivery date, Amazon will send email with ETA. By the time I get these, it'll be spring…
Exactly the same thing is happening to me.
Just cancelled my order, still hasn't shipped even though it's in stock and customer support is useless apart from saying it will ship very soon.
Me too I contacted customer service and they were absolutely useless. Ended up cancelling order. Never ordering from these guys again!
Thanks op!
