Been looking for a label printer for awhile.
Office works has this for $129 with RRP $149.
$51 delivered is an excellent price for this machine.
The labels for the machine are also around half the price than officeworks.

For those who have a bad memory…but hate tattoos.

I can't find the voltage on that amazon page. Is this compatible with 110 and 240?

    • Uses AD-24 adapter (included) or 6 "AAA" batteries (not included)

      • With that power adaptor you'll likely need to invest in a 220v-110v stepdown transformer and plug adaptor too so you might as well not bother with the adaptor and just use the 6 AAA batteries instead.

So price is not $51 because you need to add a step down transformer.

a quick google says its a 100 to 240v adapter so suits our power, but would need to either bend the pins to suit our socket or use an travel plug.

We have a label printer at work (the type with the built in keyboard), OMG most amazing thing ever. You can literally label everything.

      I like your enthusiasm.

      LIES.
      I won't be labelled!

Actually turns out that Amazon also sells the power adaptor separately which it comes with and the details list it as 100-240V AC so all you should need is a US to AU power plug adaptor and good to go.

Travel power plug US to AU adaptor is a much better idea than that bending pins what a silly idea. They're only $8.90 from Officeworks.

yea i already said that above…

i hate the travel plugs, it makes them stick out of the socket way to far. with a pair of pliers you can carefully bend the pins on the correct angle as our sockets and works just fine with all the us plugged items i have here. personal preference tho i guess.

  • I just check with my Brother P-touch and I got an AD-5000ES adapter so if the AD-24 does not work you should be able to use the AD-5000 adapter

  • Anybody have experience using this with iron-ons?
    Does it work well?

    • Yeah I'd like to know too. The Dymo ones I already have are total crap, the letters wear off the label after about 5 washes.

Or is this brother labeller better? What's so good about this brother one anyway?

  • I think it is more the labels are better which the labeller will print on. https://www.brother.com.au/our-technology/electronic-labelle…

  • I bought this one for $30.98 a few weeks ago. If you are not in a hurry , buy later.

  • This is a REALLY good price for this unit. Thanks OP!

  • Argh - I need to reading ozbargain.. I've had the PT-1230PC (from Officeworks - cost about $100 at the time as the better model wasn't available) for some time. I've always just used it with batteries (although you'd definitely want rechargeables if you used it regularly).
Now buying this one through Amazon to replace it. "But it's so cheap - it's essentially SAVING me money!" (that I'm buying one to replace an existing working one is irrelevant)

  • wow.. fastest delivery from Amazon. I just got mine. Did they improve their delivery time?
