Yeah the $50 and $100 aren't worth buying as you are in net loss. Doesn't matter how you use Qantas points, it's a bad bad deal.

Only variable load at $500 is worth it.

      Excludes Mastercard Variable Gift Card

Yes, it's a bad deal, but if you are extremely desperate to buy a small amount of Qantas points, $5.95 for 500 may be acceptable.

If you use HSBC 2% cashback debit card and split into two transactions (because you only get cashback for under $100) it would only be $3.83 for 500 points.

  • net loss, indeed

Good for those desperate to make spending limits

Still bad value. Just buy groceries gift card instead.

Terrible offer as Variable cards are excluded. You can never turn a profit, and are always at a loss due to the activation fees. People need to avoid this deal and boycott it to send Woolworths a message. Posts like these don't help.

OP frequently posts terrible gift card deals.

  • Bad offer. Losing money

    • exactly

  • Terrible deal indeed. OzBargain, where is the bargain, I see no real bargain. So sad.

  • Not a good deal. No bargain at all here.

  • You are basically losing money.

  • What better way to lose money

  • dont bother - waste of time and money

  • Poor deals R Us

  • Net loss deal posted again. HODL until $500 made. Why was this even posted lol

  • Wookie said he didn't see any deals coming up 😔

  • What? Nah. 10X is not good enough.

  • OP, what's the deal here? Are you buying?

  • No

Can these be used to pay ATO? I know its a net loss deal but there arent any alternatives at the moment.

    • +1

I'm looking as well, no discounted gift cards ATM to pay ATO

      :(

    • +3

      yes you can :)

Thanks OP. It's definitely a deal if you know how to play the game.

Like every other post, a bargain is a bargain when it works in your favour.

care to share how its a deal?

      • +2

3points per dollar at supermarkets using an amex plat edge card, fee free when paying ato compared to using a credit card and using this card at places that doesnt accept amex (costco etc)
