DEAL10DEAL20

TopCashback has an upsized Aussie Broadband cashback offer for the nbn plans.

Stack with the curent Aussie Broadband sales. Apply these codes:

  • DEAL10 $10 off per month for 6 months on the 100/20 unlimited residential broadband plan.

  • DEAL20 $20 off per month for 6 months on Fixed Wireless 250/20, Super-Fast 250/25, Fixed Wireless 400/40, Ultra-Fast 1000/50 & PRO unlimited residential broadband plans.

Update from the rep TA:

The sale amount (and therefore associated cashback) is calculated based on the total order value. Not per month, just per order. So, if you purchase an NBN plan for $79, the commission will be calculated from the price of that plan after sign up. The recurring payments after that are not commissionable.

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback is eligible only on the following residential broadband plans: Basic, Basic Plus, Value, Value Plus, Fast, Fast Plus, Super-Fast, Ultra-Fast, Super Fast PRO, Hyper-Fast PRO, Ultra-Fast PRO. Cashback is also eligible on the following residential mobile plans: Saver Mobile, Value Mobile, Essential Mobile, Premium Mobile, Elite Mobile. All other products & services (including business plans) are ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is eligible for new Aussie Broadband customers only. A new customer is defined as someone that is no longer an Aussie Broadband customer and has no active service with them. You must remain an Aussie Broadband customer for at least 90 days after placing your order to be eligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards for payment and/or purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • You must always return to TopCashback and click the pink cashback button through to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.
  • Any accounts that engage in fraudulent orders/activities to game/cheat the cashback system will be banned and cashback forfeited.

Good to know

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • If an order is cancelled / returned / exchanged / modified, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.
  • To be eligible for cashback, all transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted/negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

  • They are doing monthly discount for new and existing customer if upgrade.

    • Is this different to the $10 off (DEAL10) or $20 off (DEAL20) per month on their website and stackable with cashback? The cashback offer is for new customers.

  • better deals with better cashbacks around

    • Is ABB a more reliable service? They used to be very popular a few years ago with local call centres.

      • Aussie BB are reliable and the 4th or 5th largest ISP however they charge a premium. It costs less by going with their sub brand Buddy Telco for nbn 50/20, 100/20 and 1000/50 speeds. Aussie BB has 250/25 $99 for 6 months compared to Buddy Telco 1000/50 $99/m ongoing.

Plus there is competition from Superloop and Leaptel. Aussie BB tried to purchase Superloop but the deal fell through.

  • What denotes order value if singing up for an NBN plan - the cost of one month?

I've checked with the rep and will update.

@FXD Here's the rep TA's reply after checking with ABB:

The sale amount (and therefore associated cashback) is calculated based on the total order value. Not per month, just per order. So, if you purchase an NBN plan for $79, the commission will be calculated from the price of that plan after sign up. The recurring payments after that are not commissionable.

      • Thanks, that response is not very clear, but I take it to mean it is calculated on the cost of one month. They did not clarify what 'total order value' means. If I order an $85 100/20 plan and stick with it for six months, is total order value $510?? I take it to mean the total order value of the first month of the plan, so for 100/20, $85.

This is silly deal, because if you stack with the sales code promo Aussie BB are running, you receive less cash back. Other cashbacks are doing it via which speed plan you get, not order value. With this cashback, if you got 100/20 and didn't use deal10, you get $32 back. But if you use the deal (which you obviously would), you only get back $25.

Compare this to Superloop/Exetel, offering $75-$90 cashback for their 100/20 plans.

The reply would have been from ABB. It's probably to cover all their offers including the purchase of a mobile SIM plan.

If you buy the 100/20 nbn plan, then you would pay one month which is $85. Cashback would be $25. You would use DEAL10 for the $10 off each month for 6 months. You are still ahead using cashback.

Compare this to Superloop/Exetel, offering $75-$90 cashback for their 100/20 plans.

Different companies and different offers. I posted this offer for people who were going to use ABB anyway and the cashback is a bonus. You are probably better off going with Superloop via TopCashback.

I am changing my nbn provider and researching the options available. I looked at the cheaper Mate and Southern Phone offers that also have cashback with TopCashback but I don't want to risk the poor service from their negative reviews. I'm also considering the Origin nbn offer with the Woolworths EDR bonus points (without TopCashback).
