    If you want to eat fish sauce buy fish sauce. If you want to eat three crabs buy three crabs. I don't think they are very good substitutes for each other.

    Purely as fish sauce, Red Boat, as it's only anchovies and sea salt. Three crabs is watered down and has added fructose.

        Nope, just add less amount and add a bit more water if you think the flavour is too strong.

        Just use less as it's more concentrated but I think three crabs is fine (and more economical!) if you're making nuoc cham.
