Pretty cheap for a sd express card when combined with 11%+10%=21% cashback via shopback

Most definitely a rebranded Samsung/lexar/sandisk considering only those 3 manufacture sd express atm

this is the normal price that the EB Games website has.

It's also the cheapest 512gb micro sd express card available.

    • Corect, I guess the free delivery is the only bonus. reference: https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/nintendo-switch/319508-at… .

IMO if you're going to play it long term, it would be worth waiting for a 1tb to come down in price to something reasonable.

    • yes but you utilise this deal with the cashback running and comes with free delivery

And yes apparently lexar rebranded product

      • +1

Yep it's a Lexar play pro rebranded

        • Source for this please? Can’t seem to locate.

          • @Pratty: I saw one person report one of the models (unsure what capacity) had a Lexar model number or serial when they ran it through a tool to identify the cards properties etc.

Also, Lexar seems to be the only manufacturer currently selling a 1TB Micro SD Express, making it likely the Atrix is that same card. Of the three of four reported manufacturers of the cards, the others don’t have retail 1TB models yet.

    • 1 person with a faulty card.

      • Agree, really is unfortunate for them =(

My 1TB Atrix already has 250+gb of it filled after doing all my transferring and redownloading of my digital Switch 1 Library, installing my Current Gamekey Switch 2 games etc.

Wow son expensive.. im so happy i dont even want sw2…..

    • +1

      Yep kids are expensive!

      • +1

Well we decide what they get so why not be firm?

    • +2

      expensive

They are expensive because they aren't 160 MB/s SD cards, they are 800 MB/s SD Express cards.

Manufacturers got around the SD card licencing issues with the CF card standard. There has now been a CF Express card standard created for apparently similar reasons, with readers to match the much higher speed. We'll see if that brings down the price and increases the availability.

If you qualify for Student Beans or Student Edge $20 off comes to $108.95

  • If anyone has ordered one, curious to how quickly it tracks after purchase. Thanks!
