  • Seems to be a Soniq Digital Signage TV that supports Cybercast CMS, a subscription-based service.

Slightly different deal than what two weeks ago sonic announced: that you get a free digital signage when you purchase a CMS license https://www.instagram.com/p/DJ_QGdMS7B6

📢Attention business owners! Ready to skyrocket your marketing game? Cybercast is rolling out an unbeatable deal: FREE digital signage when you purchase a CMS license!!

(Unclear whether that free display deal is still valid, or what display it gives you, possibly a 24")

    • +1

      Hi,

Thanks for commenting! Our previous deal is also still valid. The difference is that for eligible businesses looking to use our Cybercast software, they can attain free digital signage as a boost for small businesses. Whereas, this offer is for any small business looking to purchase a screen without using a Cybercast CMS license. Hope this helps!

  • This 55″ Commercial Digital Display is the perfect screen to display any content in 4 simple steps, with Cybercast’s easy-to-use software and templates.

Is the software included in the price? If not, how much? Can the display work with other software and/or platforms?

    • -4

      Hi,

Thanks for commenting! The pricing is only inclusive for the display itself. Any add-ons such as a mount or our CMS software does come at an additional cost. The most popular plan is our 12-month license, which nearly all our clients purchase for $400 ex GST.

You've failed to mention anything about that in the OP or if it works without it. Neg voting to bring attention to this. You've been here long enough now.

        • i didnt expect them to give you the keys to the kingdom for free

the $250 is just to reel companies in… to them a $400 p.a rolling charge is probably ok if you're selling shit

          • +1

@tonyjzx: If it's okay… then why not mention it?

Just trickery - and valid to call out specific details not included.

        • +2

          Agreed

The most popular plan is our 12-month license, which nearly all our clients purchase for $400 ex GST.

Seems to have been purposely excluded. This is a key detail that rep conveniently left out.

          • @Lucille Bluth: Hi,

As mentioned, the license is an add-on. The display runs perfectly without it. The CMS license is popular amongst businesses who frequently change marketing material on their displays in-store or across multiple locations. Hope this clarifies any confusion!

  • Are these ruggedised? Suitable for areas where the kids are throwing balls around?

    https://soniq-sydney.s3.ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/manuals…

No HDMI input !? Ah! The razor and blades model, I see.

    • Hi,

Thanks for commenting! Our commercial screens are much stronger than our residential screens. They will certainly last as long as the balls thrown are not hard! If you are thinking of the types of balls used at children's playcentres, those are fine. Furthermore, the screen is suitable for HDMI input. There is no issue with that!

I think my brother referring to bowling ball.

    • The pdf you linked states: HDMI 2.0 IN x1

      • +1

I'm going blind :-( Might need a bigger screen.

"Take advantage of this unspoken offer…"

    Ummm…

  • +2

    Alright

    I'll be that person..

I need a spare TV for the garage.. would this work? Does it have HDMI/Support for a chromecast? Does it have speakers?

    • its only fhd and it has only a single hdmi in

it does have 3w x 2 spks but it has no stand so you need to bolt it to a mount

thing is that is $250 a good price for a fhd 55" these days???

      • You're right.. should probably look at marketplace

    • Hi,

Thanks for commenting. Given that there is a HDMI input, you will be able to plug in a smart TV box, such as Google TV, to access online streaming services and make the display 'smart'. The screen does have speakers as well!

No wonder there's so many questions, Rep just used the description to post advertising mumbo jumbo which makes it look like using OzB for free adz than an actual bargain.

    • +1

this is typical for commerical displays

i used to do this shit as part of my job

they are the most useless wanks on the planet

    • +2

Can you blame them? Guaranteed product sales from hoardes of mindless consumer drones who even actively compete and brag over how many products they can buy from deals and then never even open or use. The mental illness on here is off the charts and the corporates are loving it.

  • +1

Can I use this without the software?

    • my read of the manual says that you can just switch source to hdmi and leave it

and then it operates like a 55" fhd monitor lol

    • Hi,

Thanks for commenting! Yes, the display can be used without software. The CMS software is generally used by businesses who frequently change marketing material on a daily basis. For basic usage, such as showing menus, pricing, and gallery content, the screen will be suitable!
