Live chat on 12/6/2025 85" $2,745, then asked for 15% off Finally price $2333.25 brand new 85"

Looking for a 85" slim TV under $3,000. Just saw this Frame TV with $2,107 discount.
I am comparing this Samsung Frame TV to LG 86" QNED81A for $2,895 or TCL (not sure the model yet)
The Frame TV looks nicer on the wall and it is under $3,000 now.

UPDATE…TV arrived and remote doesn't work. Contacted Samsung and they passed me back to JB.
Contacted JB and they said they need to contact Samsung.
Really poor support. Now I need to wait for one month to ship a remote

Ive got one. Good looking TV as all the guts are in a seperate box, so just one cable going to the panel itself

The operating system is absolute dog shit though, I miss LG WebOS

Only Sony and tcl comes with Google os. Lg is not any good. Once you start using android on tv, you will never go back. Or just buy android box but that just creates extra remote

Late last night, I bought the 65" Frame from JB - it's a great price and I was specifically after the Frame because of the way that it displays photos. I bought a smaller one back in 2020 but I wanted to upgrade to the 65" - I would have gone to the 85" but the other half would have had conniptions! I think it's a great TV as well but I'm not after the bee's knees in TVs. The Frame does NOT match it with the best TVs. But it is certainly the best in displaying artwork and photos. Most other TVs can display slideshows of photos but the Frame does it so much better, because that's it's main job. I love it.

Agree with your thoughts on this. Have had the 65" Frame for 5 years now and as a non-cinephile I have been very happy with it, and the artwork angle got the larger size past management. Have genuinely had people not realise it's a TV, and from what I have seen in store, this effect is enhanced on the newer models.

    • I'm a google operating system user… has the Samsung / Android operating system been ok?

Thanks OP - time to buy 75’

  • Is The Frame realistically that much better at displaying photos than the TCL NXTFRAME? I tried to play around with art mode on a TCL at a JB hi-fi but the sales rep drove the whole time and it looked bright as. Not exactly what you want from an always on ambient TV. I was assured you can edit brightness but not shown how.

  • Does anyone have recommendations for a flush mounted TV outside of this one? Google is telling me the LG G2 evo Gallery Edition OLED TV is the best picture..

    • G2 wouldn't be available to buy new anymore. G5 is the latest gen.

      • Ahhh thanks, looks like they don't do an art/gallery style anymore

        • Hmm, I didn't even know there was a gallery edition. I was just thinking standard g2 to g5. Not sure what the gallery edition offers.

  • Very tempted. Hold for better prices over the next couple of weeks or pull the trigger?

  • Have been using the 75 frame for last couple of years and could not be happier .did not buy it to be the main tv but it is as good as the twice expensive sony tv once you add your own google tv .yes the software on its own is little slow sometimes but occasionally fully powering it down or using a chromecast with remote or similar OS will get you happy

Over the weekend a JB sales assistant in store told me that they were significantly overstocked (c.100 units of the 65”) and to wait for a sale - good tip.

What kind of deals are people getting when you do the chat?

Can I mount this TV if I don’t have any studs/just a plaster wall?

  • I’m not a tv person, last tv was 7 years ago and was a UHD..
Thinking QLED would be perfectly fine, I then stood next to an OLED and to make matters worse, the Samsung OLED QA65S95FAWXXY…
And it blows QLED out of the water so badly, both picture and angled viewing (we have an outdoor area adjacent). Now I can’t bring myself to buy mid range but not full price range either.. shiet

  • Anyone got a better price via chat?

  • FYI I was instore at Eastland VIC JB HI FI, and they had one on the floor, 75" for 25% off the $1995
To be fair, I did feel like the floor stock had been knocked/scratched at least to my eye, possibly more noticeable on the matte screen

You should also check out your JB store in person. I paid $2022 for an 85” display model.

  • Do you have an image of the receipt showing $2333? I can't get them to come close to this.

    • It is 20% off now. Even cheaper

      • Are we talking about the 85"?
Cheapest I can find is JB for $2888 and even then there's practically none in stock…. Only warrnambool and they won't deliver to Melbourne.

$2,888 plus 20% off for member with code. You can join membership to get the code. If they don't deliver to Melbourne, that means sold out in your area
