    as an Apple watch user if you don't need one don't buy one, honestly the 1 day battery life is so limiting you'll stop wearing it after a few months.

    other than that i like my series 7

      My Series 7 is also going strong, the battery life isn't as good as it used to be but I still make it through the day. I usually use the fast charger in both morning and night to keep it topped up to ~95%

        i need to get a different strap to be honest.

        got one of those like waterproof steel woven wool ones n it's got harmful PFAs or something along with me having to like take it out from my wrist everytime.

      The 1 day battery life hasn't been a limiting factor for me tbh. I charge when I'm in shower or at miscellaneous times and then wear it during the day time and sleep tracking. The functions are desirable enough to me to keep using it which is the health and fitness stuff. And of course it tells the time.

        Yeah fair enough,

        for me though i just wish these had even a 3 day battery life or something…

        i really like the interface on apple but wish there was an android app so I'm not forced to have an iPhone.

        but coming from a xiaomi mi band 4/6 which thoss things have heart rate, sleep track, step count and 14 day battery life usually it's quite different indeed.

      Yeah the series 7 still does everything I need a smart watch to do but battery life does not last a day which is a nuisance.

          i think I have my always on screen off already?

          i recall paying about $300 or $350 for it off fb marketplace.

          guy i bought it off said he's no longer using it and i believe the battery health is decent.

          if i put it in off mode and it only shows time that's been useful on my trips with long airplane rides but still i hope they improve on the battery health or like since battery technology is already so figured out already then they would have to figure out how to make it use less power.

      I have an Apple Watch Series 5 and learnt years ago how to manage it. If I'm sitting at my desk at work for an hour, I'll charge it and that will generally last me a day and a half on full charge but I also turn off that always-on screen. Means I get my sleep results and morning gym workout in as well as my evening health stuff too.

      Once you get into that pattern, it becomes easier to manage. I sure do miss the battery life of my Fitbit Ionic, or my Pebble, but my Apple Watch is an extension of my iPhone so I do appreciate what it offers to me.

    Got one for the 12 yo going to school by public transport. Good peace of mind knowing I can see where he is and call him if needed. It gets charged every night when he goes to bed, it's a good routine once you start embracing it.

      The “kids mode” requires the cellular model, not the GPS-only one.

      Also the 46mm model is going to be too big for a kid.

    I'm a Garmin user considering switching to apple watch as I already use iphone and a mac etc., which one is best? Don't really mind price as I use it every day, mainly for tracking runs and workouts
