It's not going to happen to GC, but what happens if you return a merchandise after getting the cashback? Does the system know it's a reversal and also reverses the statement credit?

You can buy them from Myer in-store, but not from Myer's website.
I just visited Myer Eastland but I couldn’t find the coles gc anymore :(
@kungfupanda: You may need to ask at the register and they should be able to tell you where you can find them.
In some stores only the click and collect / Service desk area has them.

Purchased Coles Myer GC - already received the $15 AmEx credit.
Myer Bourke St didn't have any Coles gc. Even checked the customer service section but none were there. They only had Myers ones.
I went to Myer Doncaster today and they only had the Myer giftcards on display. I asked at the service counter on the 2nd floor and they said that they had the Coles Myer giftcards but could only a manager could authorise using them. They asked me why I needed a card and I told them for a birthday present. The manager then got me one from the basement (?) and I bought it. It was only available on 1 of my Amexs and doubt that they would have let me use more than one Amex card at a time.
I asked why the extra steps and they just said that there had been some issues in the past. Looks like the party is over!
Good news I did get my email straight away.
I purchased last week at Sydney and there was no drama. Probably it is store specific issue
