    I love getting Ainol !

    • -1

Good to hear you like your Ainol, Allot of other people are happy with the Ainol they got last time it was on special

      • +6

yeah, im still recovering from the last ainol deal. too much ainol is not a good thing

        • +1

Nothing beats getting Ainol for a discount though.
It's more bang for your buck.

        • Free Ainol is always the best though.

    • +2

2 ainols in the last 2 days! I'm feeling sore from all the offers.

  • +2

so it looks like a Nexus 7 for 100 bucks less. Hope this quality will be similar as the Nexus.

    • +3

I checked out her rear and it has a hole, for a camera.
The nexus 7 doesn't have a rear camera.

      • +3

Only the Ainol comes with a hole in the rear!

      • Dayummm you so dirty

        • Just clean the rear end and it should be ready for action again

  • My Ainol needs more ram-ing

  • +3

Leaving Ainol jokes to one side, how does this tablet support flash ("Flash Support Flash 11.1")?

I thought flash support was being taken away from android tablets. If it does support flash, does this mean iview, hulu, netflix, etc run on it?

    • +2

download the flash 11 apk from the interwebs and install it. it still works it's just not on the android market anymore

    • You can if you jailbreak your Ainol. Not as painful as it sounds

  • +1

The only hesitant I have with Chinese made tablets is the way they consume the battery power. I have to frequently charge them.

    • +1

Which ones aren't made in China?

      • +2

I believe tesla meant these Chinese branded ones that is heaps cheaper than the other Made in China tablets.

I'm also very tempted to get one of these to see what's the buzz with Android..

Anyone recommend this over the Samsung/Asus/Google ones?

        • +1

It all depends on your price point. If you had all the money in the world, you would always choose the Nexus over Novo.

  • Through the HDMI output, it allows you to transfer the interesting videos in the tablet to your HD TV or monitor for sharing them with your families and friends

hope those interesting videos arent related to ainol

  • +8

i think i'll hold out and wait for the Ainol Uranus

  • +1

I have an Ainol 7 Fire, I can load iView and SBS OnDemand, though SBS is a not perfect - great if you want to start watching and not stop, moving back and forward plays up a bit.

As for the battery, I can get a day of use out of it easily, and charge overnight everynight anyway.

    • +1

I bought a Cube 7in tab recently, it's nice enough performance/screen wise, but the downside is the charging, take around 30hrs. What's the Fire like in comparison? Thinking of getting rid of this one and getting a Fire instead.

    • I agree. My fire has been on for 1 day and 10 hours so far and it's still at 86%. I sporadically use it within a 1 hour session of studying (on/off). Oh and wifi off.

      application used: large PDF file.

  • +2

    no bluetooth or GPS.

  • +1

It was originally supposed to have in-built GPS and BT, but they have opted not to include them. Big thumbs down.

    CPU Actions ATM7029 ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core 1.5GHz
    GPU Vivante GC1000

Same CPU used in Hero II. That's actually quite a mediocre quad core CPU with possibility of over-clocking. Vivante might also be lacking in compatibility with games. This article was written before the chip is out. I've also seen some benchmarks and CPU wise it's just a bit faster than Tegra2.

    • +1

This chip is not good. The GPU is even worse.

Allwinner a31 is a much better bet.

  • +1

I'm holding my breath and waiting to see if Fire goes down. Larger battery, less powerful but just as adequate CPU should mean better battery life.

    • -1

Are you holding your breath for better Ainol in the future?

  • ainol tablets are good for weak stomachs which can't take panadol.

  • +1

any one thinks about Ainol Novo9 Spark?

I was looking at this also, not sure whether it is any good for this price. If $100, I think it is very good.

    • +1

Expect the price to be low to mid $200

  • +2

I haven't had any experience with Ainol but this seems like a good entry price.

    • +2

I'm sorry to hear you never experienced Ainol, it is definitely a good entry at the current price.

  • +1

Is there still an issue with Li batteries and China Post delays?

  • +1

$132.57 price does not include shipping.

  • -3

No GPS, no native 3G. I'm seriously underwhelmed…..Optus MyTab was more advanced two years ago. You can still pick one up (sometimes new) on eBay for under $100!!

    • +1

you must be joking right lol

      • Actually, lover boy, I'm deadly serious. And thanks for asking!! I use the ZTE V9 as a phone at home, and additionally as a GPS, for email, web browsing and as a music player and camera when I'm travelling. It also functions as a WiFi hotspot to enable multiple laptop connections on the go. And it's never missed a beat! Just brilliant at the price. I wouldn't recommend it to gamer nerds though, the single core Qualcomm MSM7227 at 600Mhz is not up to it. LOL!!!

  • +1

Why no Bluetooth? Can Bluetooth be added via an adapter? Wifi tethering is hard on the battery which is already known as a weak spot on these units.

  • +1

    What about this vs Fire?

    • +1

i will stick with Fire than this one….. likely only 15% slower on common instruction
      good sacrifice for compatibility

  • -4

I always enjoy the comments on here…

As for an Ainol tablet… :) they do absorb into the body allot quicker then normal tablets.. i know for a fact!

Oh wait.. Ainol Tablet? NOT Ainol Tablet! :) hehe

  • +1

battery life for elf 2 and crystal is good

will stay away from new CPU. AMLogic is still better one.

    Gaming - RockChip > Allwinner > AMLogic
    Movie - Allwinner > Rockchip > AMLogic
Stability AMLogic > Rockchip = Allwinner
Battery Life AMLogic = Rockchip > Allwinner

Note: old single core Allwinner (or multi core as they mentioned) vs dual core AMLogic (at 1.2GHz) and dual core Rockchip
