I was looking for a new 365 days prepaid plan. The upcoming promotion at Woolworth looks good (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/910928). This deal from Coles is not bad. Love the competition.

  • Is this 4G like the Amaysim one or 5G, anybody?

    • +2

it's 4G. "Coles Mobile is powered by the Optus 4G Plus network".

    Whats IDD

    • +1

It's referring to international call. IDD stands for International direct dialing (IDD). Sorry for using the old school term.

      • +1

Thanks, haven't seen free international calls on sim for quite a while so forgot what it stood for

i rate coles mobile, if you don't need to call them its decent

$159 300GB Kogan Mobile for those who need more data. $10 more for ~2x the data.

    • -2

Double the data is worthless because it's Vodafail :)

        As opposed to droptus…

    • Seems like NO-provider is wiling to go below $149 ($12.4/m) for 120Gb ish ? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/12%20months%201%20y…

Maybe when they require 'NEW Services Only', it's the bottom-end of their-pricing: trying to attract NEW customer, eg OnePass, Lebara & Previously Vodafone ?

This deal maybe use by some to meet the above criteria, NET-cost $7 assuming that you shop @ WW regularly. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/907233

can we combine with 10% off coles?

    • I tried that on an amaysim $10 pack in Coles yesterday, unfortunately the answer is NO.

  • I asume 'new service only' means we cant transfer/port our current number?

    • It usually means new customers only, and it can't be used to recharge an existing plan.

    • +1

If you're not currently with Coles you can.
If you're with Coles Mobile right now, churn out to another mobile provider like Lebara $8 for 30 days, and then churn back to Coles. I think you have at least 30 days to activate the sim.

  • Has anyone been able to receive SMS while overseas, without adding roaming credits with Coles mobile?

      • I used to be able to receive it for free in Japan but not anymore this year.

    • been using Cole's mobile since 2021. Received free incoming SMS in USA, CANDA, Indonesia, India, Thailand.

I wonder if you can get extra 10% off with coles saver?

  • Any idea when the plan has to be activated by (ignoring the bonus data offer)?

  • -1

You lost me at Optus … lol

  • +2

Can confirm the 10% Coles saver doesn't apply

  • +4

Can no longer get 365 deals under $100. So expensive now.

  • Coles says - The $195 Long Expiry plan will be discontinued on 7th July 2025 and will no longer be available for purchase by new customers.

  • Also, any idea if i can buy this in shop?

    • have you verified if can buy at store?

  • This was sold at at a few Coles i tried.

The $240 SIM was discounted to $179, with about double the data anyway.
