  • Anyone know what kind of warranty this has?

    • -1

      Click on the "Warranty" tab.

      Says 12 months.

      • It states it's 12 months for new products. This is not new it's probably 2nd hand and all scratched up.

We offer our own 12 month warranty against defects on all new electrical, petrol operated or motorised products

        Needs clarification…

        • Just spoke to Grace Gonzales from Deals Direct and she confirmed the 12 months warranty. Also delivery is capped to $9.95 anywhere in Australia.

Is a decent price for the Specs. But from experience I've learned to give refurbished laptops a wide berth.

    • can u provide more information. I m thinking to buy this one.

Just a greater chance of little things going wrong. I bought a lot of refurbs to onsell (as refurbs, not thru OzB) and I put my own 12 month warranty on them.. And ive had problems with about 80% of them within the first 3 months. Which is staggering. Most of them I was able to fix, some was still under original warranty so that was ok, but a couple i copped a loss which cost me money… Though these were mostly HP laptops and a couple of Toshibas… HP are pretty crap build quality so I shouldnt be so surprised.

But for a home user, and if deals direct do offer 12 month RTB warranty on the laptop, for this price, then I would approve of this deal.

        • I think it is like a lucky dip. Most refurbished laptops are warranty returns. You may well get a good as new one that is fixed right, or you could be buying someone else's problem.

      and a bit of girth?

  • Plus $10 shipping.

  • Note that these laptops are refurbished by dealsdirect and not samsung.

Keep in mind its the old 2nd gen Sandy Bridge Core i7, not the latest ivy bridge (gen number denoted by the first digit of the CPU model number)
Also, no USB 3.0, and a slow 5400 rpm hard drive..

on the plus side its an i7/8GB/1TB w dedicated graphics for 500 bucks so still a pretty good deal.

  • sold out :(

    • Thats too quick.

Website says "Sold Out". Has the appearance of a bait. Rest of their i7 laptops are more expensive, as are most of their i5's. Even their i3's start at $479. Conclusion: Haven't found value on their site, so won't be visiting again.
