Hey guys :)

One of my bricks bought few years ago has died at work so reached to Novoo to see if they have any specials at the moment and they said this one is on promo at the moment. Seems like a decent deal for a charger - I think all time low if you already got spare cables lying around!

Love how power bricks are getting smaller and compact now which is good and portable to carry around in my backpack.

Must apply code RG68WSV10 at checkout for the discount.

Anyways, off to watch the Origin now. Have a good night.

Someone wrote here that most of novoo charger will overheat, except one old model which sold out most of time.. i cant remembee which… hmmm

  • +1

Any chance of a discount on the 100 W version as well? The 67 W seems to have issues based on previous reviews, but the 100 W has fared well

    • +4

I can ask them because I might want the 100W too. But watching origin right now so this will have to wait.

      • +3

Legend. They also have the black version for $0.90 cheaper currently

        • +1

Is this identical to the white one too? Apparently the black one has a braided 1m cable too which is nice

        • +6

@roccohu @G-Bard @McMaferMur @bumpyhead Asked the rep and was advised they are planning some good deals for the 100W for Prime Day in 3 weeks time. But they haven’t finalised anything yet.

      • +2

Interested to see discount on the 100w too! Let us know bro cheers.

        Following, thanks, Op

    • +1

      Yep i will buy rg100 if $30-33

    • thanks, but what kind of issues does the review say about 67W?

      • Overheating

        • alright, good to know, thanks, and the 100W version has migrated the issue?

    • 67w has issues, the middle usbC port dies.
I bought three from old deals, and two of them have had the middle Port die.

Luckily support is not too bad I gave them all the references and the Amazon numbers and they sent me two replacements. One of them wasn't upgraded 100 wwatt

      Hopefully these don't die

$25 bucks to bring a grenade into your home. I'll take 3

    • Better have a backup in case the first 2 don't blow up…

Great charger! I have been using this for phone and laptop for few months. This RG68 model is fine, the RG67 older model has the overheating issues.

    Grabbed one, thanks!

Can't fool me into spending more money.

I just spent $300 on new chargers and cables in spite of missing out on this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/910246

Oof, only 40w max for a single device. You’d think it could at least output 65w to one port as per similar chargers

    • +2

Nah, definitely does 67 watts to one port, my Mac is charging on it right now at 60w. Product listing says 67w to one port as well

    • +2

If you scroll down to the images just above the reviews (not the customer ones, the official promo ones), it shows that it will do either of the USB-C ports at 67W so long as none of the other ports are in use. Just the image at the top is a bit ambiguous because it shows "40W" on that port but there are three devices plugged in.

      • +1

ok cheers, seems odd they don't make that more clear. all i could find was one of the pics saying "40w max" for the top port. They print the various combos on the side of the charger itself, why not just put this in the listing pics…

        • Agreed, the ambiguity is a mistake by their marketing imo - stuff like that shouldn't be difficult to figure out when looking at the product page.

  • would this be better than https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/910246 ? not considering the USB A

  • How do adapters detect "connected devices" these days?
If I have the cables stuck connected to the charger only then say want to get the full power to charge a laptop, will the charger still think the connected A or C2 cable counts?

What would be idea is a smarter one which can split the power dynamically if one of the devices is a low power device. On a different charger but I suspect most, I charged headphones on a secondary port but that still capped the main port to the lower wattage which the laptop complained then about.

    • +1

@dufflover i have asked this few times - i got 2-3 answers and all of them say, the charger is not smart enough to see what is on the opposite side on the cable. when we connect 3 cables to this novoo charger for example, each port will only output less, doesnt matter if we are actually charging 3 phone, or just 1 phone and 2 empty cables.
very sad because i like to have the charger hidden, and all cables plugged in and i just grab one or two or three when i need

  • I've got black but white looks nicer so will make the black my travel one!

  • Same charger with 100w cable with cable

    • But the voucher doesnt work on this one?
      So you'll pay $2.80 for a usb-c to usb-c 100W 1M cable.

      • This deal is good for those who already have plenty of cables lying around :)

  • +2

I've black version, good charger, no overheat issue and support Samsung Super Fast Charging 2.0

  • This versus similar models Anker/UGreen?
