    lol, your bread is blocking my view of the resolution :)

    i think this is it, 720p
    1366 x 768,
    450cd/m2,
    Dynamic: 7,500:1, Native: 1,500:1

    Not bad, I wonder if this is available outside of Brisbane.

    • I'm also wondering does this reach Sydney or not…

  • Plus sharp is made in jap and 3 year warranty

    do they have 26" for 500 point?

  • http://www.cnet.com.au/tvs/lcd/0,239035307,339288136,00.htm

    very good review + shopbot lowest price is over $1000 with most selling over $1200

    i'm going to try get myself one price matched in Sydney if i can :)

    If anyone has any success with price matching please report back and scan or take a photo of the receipt as I would do the same if i got a price match :)

    Master can you please make a scan of the advert, the pic is on a slant atm ><

  • Hi, Could someone please rescan the offer again, want to take it in to other place to price match. Thanks

    • let us know if you're successful and where :)

  • Master please upload to imageshack.us
    the place ur upping to is resizing the image and it is very small.
    can you please scan the whole page :)

    thanks alot

  • deal is also available in Melbourne. saw add on todays herald sun

    • That sounds like good news for it being an Australia wide sale and hopefully at Sydney's Good Guys.

    • isn't the herald sun a national paper?

  • Poor Good Guys salespeople are going to be getting hammered non stop all day. It's going to be the real life version of the COTD fiasco.

    I'm estimating each store will have a dozen or so TVs and are using this loss leader to get traffic through the store (everyone does this). Hopefully there will be enough stock, but I imagine only the first few in line outside in the morning will be getting one.

    • bad thing is we can't even confirm which store will have and which store won't since it's closed till the sale ><

  • Slightly related, Clive Peters have a 50" Panasonic going for $1500 the same day.. similar story, loss leader ~10 in each store.

  • hope this link help for those who is interested. Not bad if you want to use it for LCD Monitor.

    That is from brisbane stores though but from VIC it goes to $699. You can try to get good guys to price match it. Just go to http://www.thegoodguys.com.au>enter your post code> and look for TV>LCD from the listing on the left and go to page 3 (I think).
    Sydney's price $789 :(

  • the good guys is messed up

    how can some stores have it for almost $200 less than others?

    brisbane = $596
    wa = $699
    nsw= $787

    Since when did all those states have own exchange rates? LOL!

    friken rediculous!!!

    also it says onpen on the 25th on the website LOL!

    • Yeah it's $596 in QLD, $697 in WA, $699 in VIC & SA, $787 in NSW.

      Some stores say from 25-27th, some 25-26th, but for example my local one on their main page says 27th only across the image but clicking on it goes to the page saying 25-27th…

  • Damn! Paid $799 at Good Guys in Canberra 3 weeks ago. Still can get their 30 day price guarantee if I can find "a better advertised price for the same product by any local competitor´s retail store". Any ideas??

    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/portal/page/portal/tggwebporta…

    • i doubt it, two big reason:
      1. you live in canberra as they already said "local competitor´s retail store"
      2. looks like they won't match their own company

  • I'm going to The Good Guys in Coffs Harbour (NSW) tomorrow and offering them $596 for it citing qld prices, I'll tell you how it goes.

    • +1

      No luck, they told me that at $596, it would be worth it for them to drive up and buy them wholesale at that price. They wouldn't budge from $787 and I don't blame them, they were selling them so fast it wasn't funny, only had 3 left.

  • damn i'm sooo pissed off ><

    i was planning to call the brisbane stores and have it delivered. Turns out that they won't be answering phones today LOL!

    seems that no stores r answering phones as well haha

    stupid good guys ><

  • Went there and missed out. One sales guy told me it sold out in like "5 seconds" when the doors opened.

  • $699 in DARWIN.

  • I live in Brisbane and picked up one of these Sharp LCDs for $596 from the local Good Guys store. I set it up in the XBOX room with the 360 & original connected. Great TV but then I am no expert. Nearly caused a divorce, though - wife couldn't see the benefit of replacing a 10 yr old 68cm 4:3 unit. lol

    • sounds like you'd be better off if it did cause a divorce, extra bargain ;o)p
