Nexus 7 32GB currently for sale at eGlobal for $282 all up.

Recently price matched the Nexus 7 32GB which was on sale at computeralliance.com.au for $278 (this figure includes shipping). This total came to $264.10. Please note: the picture is of my receipt for the computeralliance price match.

Receipt

This page is not up any more on computer alliance, but I've found that it -could- be price matched at eGlobal. Link is here

eGlobal price: $253 plus $29 shipping = $282
After Officeworks price match: $282 with 5% off = $267.9

Steps to have them price match:
1. Go into officeworks and ask to speak someone about matching the price.
2. Ask to use on of their computers (with internet) and go to the link.
3. Click add to cart then click checkout at the top.
4. Type in any name and email address but use your own shipping address.
5. Go down to "payment and shipping" and show the staff member that it costs $29.
6. If the staff member knows their primary school maths, they should see the total comes to $282. Minus 5% brings it down to $267.9.

Benefits of the pricematch with Officeworks:
1. Can get the product now rather than wait weeks for shipping.
2. Guaranteed Aussie stock and warranty.
3. If anything goes wrong just take it back to the actual shop.

If they don't match it, speak with the manger.

They've got it right this time, actual deal is for eglobal with a mention of a possible pricematch at officeworks which is fine by the guideline.

Use the merchant you are price match against. For example: Title: HP Laptop $500 at DickSmith ($475 at Officeworks via Price Match)

      • I agree… its a better post all around! :)

Thanks foobar, sorry about my initial post, still learning to do it right :)
Also, thanks neil for correcting the picture. Will remember to keep it that way in future.

  • Smart

  • just show this :
    6. If the staff member knows their primary school maths, they should see the total comes to $282. Minus 5% brings it down to $267.9.

    you'll get it I GUARANTEE

  • Wow you got OW to price match a grey importer? I didn't think they did that?

EDIT: Nevermind, didn't see the "Aussie stock"

    • Aussie stock? Eglobal? What are you on?

I think they price matched because eglobal has an ABN.
They usually dont price match grey.

      • Yes.. any aussie store with an Aussie buss name ABN is good for price match

    • you are a fish without wings, there is no such thing as grey import with these they are ALL GLOBAL DEVICES

  • FYI the 16GB model is $215 with the same $29 Shipping.

I got the nexus 7 32GB from JB for $250 before Christmas, got them to price match a grey importer and then beat HN price match ;)

  • Still doesn't beat the $230 JB cracker from a little while back…

    • 1 out of 10 people getting the $230 price up until they got wize on the deal and just started to refuse "everyone"

  • I picked mine up a few weeks when Wireless1 (in Sydney) had theirs for $269 + $10 shipping.

Went into office works and price matched down to $265, unfortunately there are none listed as in stock now at Wireless1.

  • The issue with this deal and an OW pricematch is the non-identical warranty. There is zero mention of the standard ASUS international warranty - only the "24 month warranty service".

    • how can this be true ? how can OW alter the warranty length that is provided by ASUS ?

      • The policy mentioned is eGlobals. OW adheres to the 12 month warranty ASUS provides.

  • OW Clarence St Sydney would not accept the price match :(

Lucky for me there is more than one OW in the Area!! On to the next one :)

    • did they say why they didnt accept the price match?

      • His excuse was that the site wasnt selling Australian stock therfore they wont match

I got one for $246 from OW North Ryde yesterday. Price matched from
    http://www.techrific.com.au/asus-google-nexus-7-android-tablā€¦

    • Can you please post your receipt from OW North Ryde? Shipping from techrific is $77.95.

I didn't realism techrific had postage. I read "Express Shipping: No further charge" as free shipping, and I guess the guy at OW's did too.

        • You sure are lucky. I went to OW North Ryde and showed them your receipt. They still checked Techrific and saw the shipping charge, so no tablet for me :(

  • Google Play Store is offering the Nexus7 for $249 + $20pp. They claim 3-5 days delivery. It comes with a full Oz warranty - why buy grey from eGlobal?

      32 gigs is $299

    • You better get your eyes open. $249 is for 16gb only. The 32gb is $299
