Smile travele charge $11 for pre approval but stamping fee for Visa on Arrival increased from $25 to $45 ( US) now
if you are eligible you can apply for a 5yr exemption visa if you are married to a vietnamese citizen and i know most ppl wont be but if you are this is the way to go.
a 5 year visa costs aud$75 and not limited married couples.

China is worse, the guy who owns their Visa processing centres has a 50 million dollar house on Sydney Harbour.
India is even worse than China, I think it's over $200.

very nice price… last time i was in nam was back in '68. Saigon was lovely.
Just last month Jetstar had $329 to Tokyo and the return trip from Osaka for $249! Not that this helps anyone now…Although, they tend to do the 2 for 1 deals twice a year and I think they're about due. Might pay to wait and see.

Go to Adioso my friend. Set up an alert for something like "Melbourne to Japan for under $600" add a date range if you want. And then wait until they get match and send you an email with the details!
