  • Do you have one for Jakarta?

    • Hi! Yes, our eSIM includes 3GB of nationwide data, so you can absolutely use it in Jakarta.
You can later top it up if needed — it works across all of Indonesia

  • When do u have to activate it by? My trip is in sept

    • Hi! You don’t need to activate the eSIM right away. If your trip is in September, you can purchase now and activate it closer to your travel date. Just make sure to install the eSIM and submit the KYC form before you land, so we can register it in time 🙏 Let us know if you need help with that

  • can you tell us why your top up is 3x the price of what telkomsel is selling? you have 100gb for 23USD, on telkomsels website they sell it for 100k($10aud)

Absolute rip off to be honest, $16aud for eSIM when telkomsel sells it for $2 for the esim(3gb include) and $10aud for 100gb of data

Can you share the better deal?

    • You can't expect them to sell it at the same price as the actual carrier.. You can probably conclude that they've built in a margin

And tbh since you know how to get it for cheaper, just get it the cheaper way?

      • I mean ive never said you cant make profit, but selling it 3x the amount of someone's product is a bit absurd dont you think considering they dont have any liability on the performance of the product

    • thanks a lot for your feedback, really appreciate you bringing this up!

You’re correct, the base price from Telkomsel can be cheaper if you can buy directly in Indonesia with a local ID or payment method. For tourists, though, getting a Telkomsel eSIM isn’t always as straightforward as it seems. For tourists and foreigners, it’s often not that straightforward due to:

      • KYC requirements (passport/IMEI registration, which we help handle)
      • Payment restrictions for non-Indonesian cards
      • The process of getting an eSIM as a foreigner not always available directly from Telkomsel online

I like the idea but wary of sharing personal data for KYC over a google form!

    • And also isn't this one of those local SIMs that you get stacks of SMS spam on?

    • Thanks for your feedback, totally understand your concern about sharing personal data online.

If you’re not comfortable with KYC via Google Form, you’re always welcome to visit our offline store here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gFtDNyB8LAshm6MBA. You can complete registration and get your eSIM in person, no need to submit anything online.

We’re also actively developing a more secure KYC system for online registration.

    • Hi, we actually just moved away from Google Forms and now use our own secure form hosted directly on our website: https://esim.balieasy.com/kyc-form/

This ensures all your data is securely processed in compliance with Indonesian KYC and IMEI registration regulations.

  • Question: how, long are they valid for prior to starting them

    • Hi! After you activate the eSIM on your phone, both your data package and your IMEI registration will be valid for 30 days.

      • So, unless you activate the sim it doesn’t have an expiry date?

A decent deal, but what a hassle to register the sim. Need to upload photos of passport, phone IMEI, a selfie ….. Next time I'll just pay a bit extra for the convenience of Airalo/Ubigi etc…

    • +1

yeah agreed. I'm even thinking about not doing the KYC info even after paid because of how dodgy it seems.

    • Hi! Registering with passport, IMEI, and a selfie is definitely more of a hassle compared to global roaming eSIMs like Airalo.

Unfortunately, this is a government regulation in Indonesia for all local SIM/eSIMs, not just ours.
It’s required so you can get a real Indonesian number, use local apps (like Gojek/Grab), and have the best internet in Bali.
We try to make the KYC process as smooth as possible and help guide customers through each step.

But you’re right, if you just want quick data without local services, global roaming eSIMs are more convenient.
Thanks for the honest feedback, it really helps us improve.
