Medical equipment so basically a guaranteed exemption.
Ahh, hadn't thought of that.
Presumably it still needs airline approval?Yeah still needs approval but once you mention it's medical it's almost an immediate exemption. The other plus is that medical equipment doesn't count towards carry-on allowance on 99% of airlines.
Y’know I thought this too, but now concerned it’s nit as strat forward, and different country have different rules.
I thought most airlines and aviation authorities limit lithium-ion batteries to a maximum of 100 Wh per battery without special approval.
And batteries between 100 Wh and 160 Wh require airline approval and are usually limited to two spare batteries per passenger
I also thought the battery voltage mustn’t exceed 12 volts in many cases, with ones like to TSA guidelines. Although I think tsa refers to America only.
The ResMed AirMini is a great little unit, I've used one of these with the HumidX F20 discs and it easily beats older units that needed to be filled with distilled water ((profanity) you Phillips and your shitty machines)
You can get a ResMed AirMini unit for ~$1100 if you shop around, but even the little Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite Battery I've got for it is more expensive than the listed one.
A great deal even if you're only using the battery pack at home as a UPS alternative
I was reported for sock-puppeting because my username is cpapi lmao. How funny.
Report again.
LOL
cpapi
This is the best username I’ve come across in a while.
Can't add the battery pack, it's out of stock. Unless it already comes with it by default?
Add the battery separately and it still works.
This battery cant be used on flight i just checked max 10000mAh, MEDISTROM Pilot Flex Battery can be used on flights.
The Pilot Flex are FAA/TSA compliant having a 98Wh capacity- just below the 100Wh threshold limit imposed by the airlines. The compact size and weight make it extremely portable and easy to bring on all your travels! The Pilot Flex makes travelling with your CPAP device easier than ever!
This battery is handy for overland camping trips or on the ships and boats. The battery is similar to Kings 12 Ah.
https://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/batteries/portable-lithium-…So the battery price is inflated? I'd be keen to get a battery like this for my camping trip, that's what's holding me back.
Similar, but the one I received for CPAP comes with all the cabling needed for all the devices ie. adapter for Resmed Airsense 10, 11, Airmini, it has a LED screen for status of battery instead of the light indicator, and the inputs/dc ect are arranged different. Without a doubt looks similar, but considering the Airmini which includes the mounting kit, and an entirely new mask setup etc with the battery for an extra $100 above RRP, is well worth it IMO.
In addition, the battery is being sold for CPAP use so for any warranty claims ect would be a lot easier then trying to use a Kings branded one as they'll palm it off.
You can also buy an AirMini to USB-C adapter and power it from a standard battery bank. I built my own adapter which runs on USB-C PD 20V (or 9-15V from a DC barrel jack) and it uses about 60% of my 25000mAh battery bank every night (14cm³/sec).
Looks like a pretty amazing deal.
Worth noting you would need special approval to get the battery onto a flight.
