    These are good knives. I bought mine 30 years ago in 1995 and they have lasted. Back then you could buy good quality things from Kmart. It was quite a bit cheaper back then, around $9.90 for the set on special. We only use 2 knives from the 15 set but the set looks so nice on display that we have kept the other knives. The wood does get moldy and stinky but we spray anti mold in the knife stand holes and rinse it out once every 2 weeks.

      Why do you put wet knives in? I wash my kitchen knife right after use and dry it on a piece of cloth and only put it back when dry.

        Absolutely. Never had a mould or smell problem with my knife block.
