Boost Mobile: $60 Cashback on 290GB Prepaid 12-Month SIM for $255 Delivered @ TopCashback AU

840

Highest cashback at $60. Costs $195 after cashback for 290GB 12-month prepaid SIM at $255. Previous offer. Offer ends on 30th June 11:59pm AEST.

Also 28-Day SIM cashback offer posted here.

  • Cashback is on the purchase of the physical SIM only. You can convert to eSIM after you have received the physical SIM. Activate the physical SIM first, then convert to eSIM.
  • If you're a current Boost customer, you will need to port out into another provider and then port back into Boost. Please see the steps in my comment here.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, and avoid browsers such as Brave.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.
  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards for payment and/or purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • You must always return to TopCashback and click the pink cashback button through to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.
  • Any accounts that engage in fraudulent orders/activities to game/cheat the cashback system will be banned and cashback forfeited.

  • So pissed, I only just bought it yesterday with $50 cashback… Can we cancel the boost order and re-order again?

    • Sorry to hear. Not sure but I couldn't cancel with Boost chat support in the past. You can ask.

    • +2

Same here. I only just bought mine with the $50 cashback

      • Patience, Patience…….

    • Ditto. C’est la vie!

I’d really love to hear peoples experiences with joining up to Boost and the reception, compared to Telstra, in large regional towns, mainly in Victoria. Thanks in advance.

    • +2

Its the same Telstra retail network (which is better tha the Telstra wholesale network)

    • I travelled through many regional towns to the North of Melbourne and reception is great in all towns that appear on the map. Signal is 3-4 bars on my iPhone. I've never used Telstra in these areas but if Boost has this much coverage, I dont need to switch.

I bought it with OW 5% pricebeat and 10% off giftcard. I spent $209.75. Even cheaper than that.

    • As a monkey crunching numbers cant figure it out how.

      255* 0.95* 0.9=218.
      This is 255-60=$195 after cashback.

      • I found other shop is selling $245 on ozbargain.
        Go to OW and ask pricebeat. $245 * 0.95 = $232.75
        I bought $50x4 $30x1 gift card at 10% off from coles = $207
        pay rest $2.75 by cash.
        $207+$2.75=$209.75

        • +7

          195<209.75?

          • @Big-Deal: yes 195 is even better.

            • @yasui: This cashback is when you activate within 30 days. If you need more time $218 deal is better.

          • +2

@Big-Deal: Reminds me of that clip from Johnny English reborn where the assassin is doing all kinds of flips, vaults and jumps to escape but Johnny in pursuit just casually strolls through the door or uses the lift

        • This is excellent for those who would like to avoid the address, payment, tracking, ID and other issues. Still waiting for my cashback to track from last TCB deal

  • +2

Of course, now TopCashback drops a $60 cashback bomb right after I ordered this morning with Cashrewards for $50 before posting it on OzB.
    There goes my $10… 🫠

    • My condolences

  • +1

Synchronised the whole families Boost accounts to EOFY for this reason… there is always a better deal right before June 30.

So the 290GB is if activated by July 7, any thoughts on what happens after that? No bonus offer, or some new bonus data offer?

    • You will get at least 240GB which is the default. If Boost has a bonus offer at the time of activation, you will receive that bonus offer. Boost seems to have bonus offers quite often.

SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase.

  • Really love the head-to-head deals between TCB and CR. Your move now CR.

    • +1

I wonder if TA (ex CR) likes to beat CR lol

  • Nobody gets the unable to complete your order error message these days? I gave up on Boost purchase for over a year now

    • I had that previously, I managed to order by intentionally making a minor typo on my address, not sure if that would still work though.

    • @ozshuttler It is working for several people recently by using passport as ID, paying with a debit card and typing the address manually.

      • +1

I tried to input address mannually but Boost's system doesn't allow me. Am I doing it wrong?

        • @apple0604 To type your address manually:

          • Type any address and choose "I can't find my address" as shown here.

          • Add your address manually in the "Address" section shown here. It's below "Delivery address".

          • +1

@trixieb: Thank yoh very much. You have been always very helpful. I am pretty sure I have done like said when manually input my address. But I will try again.

          • +1

@trixieb: Thank you!! I have just typed in my address manually and used my passport details and it worked.

            • @Lorna Lee: Thanks for the feedback. Your first comment 😀

  • -1

Seriously!! Just after I paid a lot more just a week or so back

    • Sorry, that was $10. Enjoy the SIM. I'm happy you managed to buy after the error message and it tracked.

  • Is this for the new or porting only?

    • +1

If you're a current Boost customer, you will need to port out into another provider and then port back into Boost. Please see the steps in my comment here.

  • Is there a way to order this online and then buy a physical sim ($2 at officeworks) so you don't need to wait for the sim card to arrive?

    • Why not just buy the esim version of it? Then you will just get e-mailed the sim.

      • @almotions @arnieb Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs. Cashback is on the purchase of the physical SIM only. Activate the physical SIM first, insert and then convert to eSIM.

Delivery seems to be quick in metro areas, usually in 1-2 business days. I'm in Perth and have received the next business day.

        • @trixieb do you remember where they post from? Heading remote for work next week and realised my current 12 month plan expires on the Wed

          • @almotions: Boost uses StarTrack/Australia Post. My SIM cards have been posted from TOLL PO Box 6054, Chullora NSW 1405. If you're in Sydney metro, you would be fine.

With the 12-Month SIM, when taking delivery of your purchase, you'll need to show the same ID you used in your order (driver's licence or passport), for security reasons.

Some people can't buy and get an error message at the checkout page. Better success with using passport as ID, paying with a debit card and typing the address manually. Start again and click through the pink button at TopCashback to Boost website if any issues to ensure tracking.

  • Anyone else getting:

    500 Internal Server Error
    An internal server error occurred

    After selecting the Sim card?

    • +1

Seems to be working now. Could have been OzBargained a few mins ago. Try again through the pink button on TCB.

      • Yeah finally got through, now after putting in CC details I get

Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later

Guess I'll … try again later.

        • +1

Try using passport as ID, paying with a debit card and typing the address manually. Several suggestions here.

If you experience any issues at the checkout page, start all over again to ensure tracking. Click the pink button at TopCashback through to Boost website again.

          • @trixieb: Thanks seems this is a recurring issue.

I played around with spelling of my name
            Used passport
            Changed to DD card
Manually added address with a slight typo
            Used a different email

Nothing worked. Guess I'll need to sit this one out. But thanks for trying to help out

            • +1

@Lucille Bluth: Sorry to hear. It may work if you can use someone else's ID who is able to receive the SIM card at home or go to the post office to pick up with their ID. I had to use a relative's details when Telstra blocked me in the Telstra store. Same issue as Boost.

            • +1

@Lucille Bluth: Same issue for me. Even used my wife's details.
Used multiple credit cards, debit cards. Tried passport and drivers licence. Still no luck

              • @Jayd3n: Unfortunately you may have to try a third family member sometimes :(

          • +1

@trixieb: I've had the same issues - unable to use my cc to pay with the error. I just changed payment method to my bank debit card and it worked straight away, no problem.

        • +1

          I'm getting

          SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG

We’re sorry but we’re experiencing technical issues. Please try again later.

Tried a few hours ago and again just now with a different email. Uuurgh.

Alright just tried again with my debit card instead of credit card (different bank too) and it went through.

          • @Vool: That's great! Just wondering where you watch the Premier League matches. Family pays for Optus Sport and used to subscribe to LFCTV.

You can get 40c every 7 days with Trivago (Jürgen Klopp) at TopCashback, click here.

            • @trixieb: @trixieb Well Optus Sport has been the only legal option here….. but Optus are pulling out and negotiations on where it will go next has been happening.

The talk in the last week has been it's going to Stan Sport.

              • @Vool: Just read from AFR. Looks like it will be a subscription to Stan Sport then.

Stan will stream the next season of the English Premier League in August under a complex agreement that would ultimately mean Optus subsidises a large proportion of the broadcast rights.

      • Still getting the error after 2 tries, seems like they dont want our business.

        • +1

@butterjudge Try using passport as ID, paying with a debit card and typing the address manually. Several suggestions here.

If you experience any issues at the checkout page, start all over again to ensure tracking. Click the pink button at TopCashback through to Boost website again.

        • Normally I put a screen recorder on in case stuff like these happen.

  • +1

Just now was able to order with debit card and different email. Previously tried with CC and Boost recorded email several times and using different browser but no success. hopefully this helps other who are not getting success. Cashback got tracked under 5 mins.

  • I got from shopback only $42 this morning

  • What's people's experience using the TCB app? Better go to?

    • +1

I only use the TCB app which is recommended (with mobile data and Chrome browser). If using Safari, turn off 'Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’.
Click the pink button to Boost website (not app).

      • +1

        thanks.

  • Does boost do afterpay / pay in 4?

    • Unfortunately not. Here is the screenshot of the payment page.

  • Man, I just went to Vodafone for the sim swap to get back to Boost. Vodafone gave me 5 bars and Boost is 1 bar lol.

  • +1

Purchased for me and my wife. The first one went through smoothly. The second one failed with the same payment method and worked when changing to a different card.

  • I give up, I've tried everything and none of it works. I know it will be a pain activating the sim as well

    • Sorry to hear. Buying the SIM card is a pain if you're blocked. Activating isn't a pain and can be done easily via live chat support.

If you're still keen, you may have to use another person's ID who is able to receive the SIM card at home or pick up at the post office (ID check req).

Using passport as ID, a debit card and/or manually typing the address have worked for some people.

      • I've tried using another person's ID already

        • The blocking seems to be random. Some people have managed to buy after a few days break. The offer expires on 30th June 11:59pm AEST. It's a good offer and probably worth trying again later.

    • I was trying first with visa cc, it did not worked. I used different visa debit card, it worked. and also I used address like (11/5 Dominos Street, Unit 11, 5 Dominos Street, Darwin, NT), though my address is 11/5 Dominos Street. In business address, typed building name. It worked for me.

  • The Boost Mobile website says ‘activate by 7 July’. If I order now and cannot get it before 7 July, then my $300 sim card forfeited??? My plan will expire on coming Wednesday.

    • +1

@Foreveryoung99 Boost website states "290GB on new activations by 7 July 2025". This is for 290GB (with bonus data).

If you activate after 7th July, you will get at least 240GB data which is the default. Your $300 SIM card would not be forfeited. If Boost has a bonus data offer at the time of activation, you will receive that bonus offer.

For cashback, SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase.

The SIM card has been delivered by Star Track/Australia Post. Delivery seems to be quick to metro areas, usually in 1-2 business days. Hopefully you will receive the SIM card by Wednesday.

Some people get an error message at checkout. Using your passport as ID, paying with a debit card and/or typing your address manually may resolve this issue. ID check is required for the delivery of the SIM card.

If you experience any issues at the checkout page, start all over again to ensure tracking. Click the pink button at TopCashback through to Boost website again.

You have just signed up to OzBargain. All the best.

      • Hi. I got this and have received the sim. Just reading this other post - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/913255. If I activate by 7th I receive 290GB and 300GB on activations from July 8, 2025. Would this be correct? Just confirming if I can get the extra 10Gb if I activate after the 7th?

        • +1

Yes as per your link and my experience with Telstra/Boost activations.

    • I got my sim card in 4 days. So you should be ok.

  • Is TCB app playing up now?
Just created an account for my mum, was able to verify but now we can't log in? Saying "oops, log in failed. If you have forgotten your password…."

But saying server error if we forget password.

    • Are you able to log in today?

      • Still same error.. Had to use a different email.
But still can't use forget password my personal account now. Fml

        • Sorry to hear. No issues at my end. Probably a glitch.

Just wondering how many accounts in the same household i.e. more than 2 accounts? Did you refer your mum? As per their T&Cs, TopCashback seems to be strict with referrals and multiple accounts (e.g. more than 3 or 4) in the same household. 2 is fine.

  • Tried using passport instead of Driving License but still getting

    SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG

We’re sorry but we’re experiencing technical issues. Please try again later.

anyone managed to order it ?

    • +1

@AAN Yes. Other people have mentioned they bought this SIM. I bought a SIM card this afternoon.

Have you tried your passport with a debit card and typing your address manually? Some more suggestions in this link.

  • +1

Just noticed it’s for $255 on the Boost mobile website and then $60 cashback via TopCashback. Really good offer.

    • Wow, seriously? Do you mean it was priced just like the title of the post? So insightful! 🤣

      • Haha, I didn't read the title. It was $50 cash back previously. So, thought I would share it but after reading your comment I realised it was changed to $60 ;)

        • +2

@Rocky007 To clarify, this post title had been $60 from the start and wasn't changed :) The offer with the $50 cashback is a different post here.

  • Anybody having issues doing more than one sim card? First one went through fine but second one boost just says error every time…

    • +1

Are you buying from TopCashback or Cashrewards as you asked the same question in both posts?

      • +1

I tried both, I ended up having to use a debit card for the second purchase and it went through.

  • Nothing working for me despite different email or cards used -_-

    • Not sure what you have tried but using your passport with a debit card (not credit card) and typing your address manually have worked for some. More suggestions in this link.

      • I just went with Kogan instead :)

    • +1

Manually typing everything including address and using a debit card (Visa, if that matters) worked for me just now. I used driving license and did not have to try with a passport.

  • +2

I just ordered one(just in time) with debit card, manually adding delivery address and driving license. No issues and it went through right away!

Within 10 mins of transaction, it started showing in earnings dashboard of TCB with cashback amount of $60

  • I ordered on 30th June but Boost has not shipped it yet?

    Anyone having similar issues?

    • +1

      Mine arrived the next day

    • Same. Ordered 29th for myself and no tracking yet. My partner ordered his same night, got it next day..

    • @utsc Any update on yours?

    • Just spent about 50 minutes with chat trying to chase down. Had to forward my email about the order since they seemed to have no idea about it. Apparently the agent identified an issue (with my order?) and is going away to try and fix.

Suggest it might be worth chasing up if you are still waiting for orders.

      • Did they manage to fix the issue and send out your order? They said to call them and they’ll manually reimburse if I go and buy a $2 sim…. But no updates on my original order which they can’t find in their system apparently.

        • Sorry - just saw your reply and message. Posting here as well for anyone else with an order that "isn't in their system".

Mine eventually showed up. The rep said he was going to process a refund for me but them doing that must have kicked them into gear to "find" the order.

I reckon press them for a refund. No idea why you should have to go buy a $2 sim.
