Next year myself & husband are travelling to London for the first time from Sydney. Any tips on choosing an airline for comfort & cheap travel?
We would like to travel Premium Economy if it's not too expensive.
Thanks in advance.

I believe Economy is cheaper
Singapore Air is my favourite for long haul economy. You can get return flights for about $1500ish on sale https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/910742
Comfort and cheap don't necessarily go hand in hand.
Their premium economy is passable, but businessclass is rubbish.

Will give you ALL the info you need.
Bye bye / (fly fly).
China Eastern, Turkish
Vietnam Airlines have traditionally had good PE deals, often into Paris and you’ll cop an annoying layover in at least one direction. But last 2 years they’ve been around $3k
I'll add china southern. They have daytime flights (from sydney and guangzhou to london). Many reviews on youtube. You can stopover in China. This will fit your comfort and cheap. Many will also say food is not the best, but you can byo sandwich or snacks if thats what you prefer. Mind you, Chinese airlines can fly over Russia, hence faster! Saves you 2 hrs flying time over other airlines
Yea decemt
Cheapest will be scoot plus Ryanair. You almost certainly don't want that.
Second cheapest will be a 42 hour flight with a long layover in a second tier Chinese city. You almost certainly won't want that either.
Probably best to explain your preferences rather than "cheapest".
Comfort and cheap for air travel are not usually in the same sentence.
Seen cheap round the world tickets via a huge number of hops in the past being one cheap way to get to London, but you will have to use google to see if it is still cheap.
Cheapest Airline for Sydney to London 2026?

You don't want much…. Do you want cheap, comfort or Premium? Pick two.
No Premium Economy on Turkish Airlines.
Their economy was quite good.
google it? you can literally just look up flights….
Iranian Air
comfort & cheap
Depend on your comfortability factor, having 12+ hr layover and 5 connecting flights sounds comfortable?
You also should consider the route (travel time) and layover times. Japanese and Taiwanese airlines might offer a good service, but flying via Japan/Taiwan is a lot further. The Chinese airlines offer some great deals
Why be such jerks to OP. Not everyone is at your legend OzBargain user level. Sure they can do the simple stuff themselves, let's assume they have, they're just reaching out here to see if anyone has a tip / trick up their sleeve. Isn't that partly the point of OzBargain?
OP is utterly lazy and wants others to do their research for them. That behaviour is very usual these days, but should still be called out.
How do you know what they've done or not done? Utterly lazy. Sure, you're amazing. Shows the maturity level of some here.
skyscanner, or google flights will have the details.
LOL
