I bought this printer in a previous deal (for more than this). And I'm happy with it so far.

This or bambu lab P1SC
Bambu's meant to be slightly better for the novice. But honestly, the money difference is alot and the P1SC isn't on par with the kobra s1, only the P1S2 combo is. (Drying of the filament).
But each has it's own positives and negatives. The print's I got from out of the box setup are absolutely insane with the Kobra S1. Very happy with it
I have a bambu labs A1 combo and a kobra 2 max.. yes.. different printers… however, the anycubic version of the slicer is absymal. It doesn't even display how much time is left in the print. Bambu labs is a much more solid/novice friendly experience..
Orca slicer has profiles for it now.
The anycubic versions don't have any estimates for purge timing as it's dependent on the printer settings but they should just put an estimate based on 1x multiplier
But it's completely useless (to me) as it doesn't support wifi printing..
At the current sale price I would go P1SC.
After that it's a tougher call as the price difference is around $500
This is a great printer. I got one earlier this year and continue to be amazed at the quality of the prints. I use PLA, PETG ans ABS. The Jayo stuff and love it. I use it for quality looking parts while my SV08 is now for larger prints. The multi colour is really cool and support had been really responsive with my ACE issue.
What was your ACE issue?
It kept disconnecting during a print. They sent out a new cable and hasnt happened since.
Anyone considering this should also consider the kobra 3 V2 8 color Kit - $609
For some reason they have the pricing set really low when compared to the international stores. It should be around $900+ as you get two ACE Pro units

Some people want the S1 with enclosed case so they can print ABS filaments.
For sure, just an option or maybe someone with S1 wants to pick up extra ACE Pro units.
As you get 2 for $609 plus the printer compared to a single ACE Pro for $469
I never did 3d print. Is this good for tinker free printing. Download a print file hit print and done?
Maybe not for first timers. But seems ok for PLA.
If you can google.
S1 pro, k1c, p1s
They'll all good consumer level printer's for click and go.
The creality cloud print app can browse 3d file and then print from the cloud. I assume the bambu stuff has similar but I dont have experiences with it.
Id say these are at the level of the old injket printers from when they started to get mainstream…you know you still had blocks/clogged heads, and had to print test pages, change cartridges etc.
Awesome printer. I’m 270 hours in on mine, no issues except 1 clogged head which was an easy fix.
Nice thats good to know. I might get this as my birthday gift. But shit its massive have to find a location for it.
Are you running ACE with it?
Yep, the ACE pro has been fine. I think I had one jam where the filament wouldn’t come through, just took off one of the tubes and pulled it through manually and it hasn’t happened since.
What do you think about this clip for new users.
I bought this the other day for this price. Such a good printer. Had no issues setting it up and the first test print was insane quality.
