This awesome/ageless game rarely goes on sale. Anyone who loves it will obviously already have it …
Now is a good time to buy a 'gift Steam code' for a friend.

Might still be bugged and give the Ultimate bundle on fanatical too. Bought it for myself and my girlfriend the other week and both times it redeemed as the Ultimate bundle
Can confirm that I bought yesterday on Fanatical and got the Ultimate bundle.
Confirmed just now also. Great Deal!
Thank you! I just managed to purchase and it upgraded by Age of Empires II, Definitive Edition to Ultimate.
Can confirm, I already owned the Definitive Edition and buying this listing from Fanatical upgraded it to Age of Empires II: Ultimate Bundle, nice!
Thanks for this. Got the Ultimate Bundle.
Confirmed still working 👍
Got it.. banger thanks guys!
Damn, well I wasn't going to bother but since it's Ultimate I threw my 12 bucks away lmao
Currently still works.
Says definitive all the way until redeemed in Steam where it's Ultimate
I think it still works, thanks :)
Got key from fanatical, redeemed on steam with all the Ultimate Edition DLCs already in my collection.
Considering the ultimate bundle is 100+ on steam during when not on sale.
Hey, I'm so new to Steam here. I am certain that I have paid for the Ultimate bundle. I can see all of the DLC have been installed, including the latest "Three Kingdoms". However, once I load the game, I only see icons of the AOEII DE, the Return of Rome and the Chronicles: Battle for Greece.
I don't know where the other DLC are, even though they seem to have been installed, according to my Steam portal?
I have already followed the steps written on the Steam page below but to no avail:
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6948-51E6-E624-8A…
Any help would be much appreciated! 🙏
Haven't had the chance to play the campaigns/dlcs, but I believe Chronicles of Greece and Return of Rome are sort of separate to the rest of AOE II DE (the time period of the civs/campaigns doesn't align with the rest of AOE II - I think ROR even ports AOE DE (with aoe2 mechanics) in as well).
I believe all the content of the other dlcs is inside AOE II DE
Still bugged, thanks!
Cheers! Still works. :)
Good price. But it was $5.73 on Steam a year ago.
It probably won't be back at that price again anytime soon because they bundled three DLCs into it and raised the price last year: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/813780/view/44828648…
AoE2 is obviously the GOAT.
Just curious though, what are people's thoughts on AoE4? Is it worth playing? It looks like a much better game than AoE3.
This reminds me that I have aoe 4. Play the few hours get bore…
i enjoy 4 and play it probably more than 2 if im just doing a bit of skirmish by myself. the downside is mainly less factions but i enjoy the way it plays and looks. still has the same core feel and balance of 2
It goes on sale multiple times a year
In this edition do all the regular campaigns have a Co-op mode?
Let's have an OzBargain AoE2 death match!! Who wants to join??
LOL, this sounds fun … but I am actually pretty inexperienced/crap at the game, so I would be wiped out almost instantly. Maybe we could do a a weighted 'state of origin'?!? LOLOLOL
Yep I'm up for it!
I'm pretty lame as I preferred Starcraft back in day, but AoE2 is soo much fun
Currently a couple bucks cheaper ($11.98 AUD) at Fanatical, which is still a Steam key: https://www.fanatical.com/en/game/age-of-empires-ii-definiti…
