Bunnings won’t price match TKD as part of Bunnings Group.

      • Sorry, I didn’t know that.

I just received a call from Bunnings, they will price beat it.

        • Oh wow. I’ve always been knocked back as it’s in their terms that they won’t.

not that impressed with the dewalt hedged trimmer! the trigger system can be hit and miss. Get yourself a makita hedge trimmer. I personally am invested in dewalt system so i have lots of batt. I just buy batt adaptors to use other system like makitas… been doing this for a few years. i use makita hedge trimmers and line trimmers with dewalt batts.

    • Which Makita hedge trimmer and line trimmer would you recommend?

I have the smaller Makita 18v 50cm hedge trimmmer with 15mm cutting capacity, wanting to upgrade to something with better cutting capacity

    • Dewalt batteries don't have the built-in low-voltage cut-off feature. Do you know whether Makita tools have that?
      Thanks

Having had some Makita batteries drained to stupidly low voltages, like 14V, I'd say they don't. That may have been dodgy tools or dodgy batteries and not normal behaviour, but it happened across a couple of tools and several batteries.

        • Being an ex gardener I knew a lot of them who ran Makita. I never did because I ran Stihl but I heard the hedger can be ok but mainly they used them for blowers.

Petrol hedge trimmers are disgustingly heavy and you'll do a shoulder one day.
