There was a post recently about a cheap alternative to Airtags but works on the same network. Anyone remember what they were called?
UGreen makes one, about 25 bucks. Haven’t tried it but all the other stuff I’ve bought from them has been solid.

There are several brands (including the Ugreen mentioned below) that claims to offer an alternative to AirTags. I tried one brand from Amazon and it is a far cry from AirTags. They (at least the one I tried) are just normal BT trackers with a buzzer that works with the FindMy network. They don’t have UWB for directionality. Also for some reason they update way less often and less accurate than AirTags. We used them in a recent trip to Japan and it is definitely not as good as the AirTags that we also brought along.
Cheers for the feedback. I should probably just bite the bullet and stick with Airtags but I really dislike the form factor. The Ugreen tile style is so much more functional.
I also have the same feedback, I got few brands for Aliexpress and they definitely does not have access the UWB that AirTags use, they are very inconsistent and does not work at the same accuracy as AirTag
Also ztag from Ali express but my 1st battery ran out quick, lucky you can replace battey, $7ish for ztag
