Looks like a great price to me for a quality drill. Maybe on clearance.

If you can find the Milwaukee 48325148 it's a good all round set with some drill bits in it for $50. It was a promo and there aren't too many left. Total Tools might be your best bet as I think Sydney Tools are out of stock.
A good cheap basic bit set for $12 delivered. https://powertoolspecialists.com.au/products/milwaukee-shock…
As for a drill bit set only, what sizes do you need and what's your budget? There are quite a few choices, but I can only recommend sets out from what I have used.
I got the Milwaukee multi material bit set, and a Makita 60piece driving set that also includes a quick release bit holder
I find the hex shank drill bits sit much more securely in the chuck and can also work on an impact driver for getting into tighter spaces
For longer reach I have a Sutton 150mm quick release extension, but the Milwaukee one is also good. I only got the sutton because my local TT didn't have the equivalent Milwaukee in stock.
I personally prefer these locking bit holders but a simple magnetic insert bit holder is also useful, especially if reaching into tight corners with screws right into them like some bed frames etc.
you probably want an impact driver then.
Wow this is cheap, must be a run out model by now (got mine in 2022).
newbie to DIY here, i'm already in Bosch ecosystem, is this one better than Bosch green impact drill? considering that if I purchase this Dewalt drill I have to purchase another battery
I'm planning to use it for occasional building furniture, drilling pictures, very rare drilling to masonry to install cameras etc. DIY stuff mostly to replace my old weak kmart drill
If you don't have existing batteries, better buy a kit with batteries, the value proposition in buying a single cheap skin but expensive batteries isn't great (unless you buy batteries off FB marketplace, which there's a lot of at the moment because of all the bonuses running recently).
Fatmax with carry case, 2 batteries and a charger for same price atm as part of Prime week.
https://www.amazon.com.au/STANLEY-FATMAX-Cordless-Hammer-Dri…Was at Bunnings yesterday and they still have these at this price in store
I got one last week and it is an amazing drill. I have been using it to build a deck along with my old 14V dewalt drill and driver that are still going strong after 10 years
In the past I have always used a corded drill to drill into brick and concrete, as I have been skeptical of the power of "cheap" battery hammer drills, however this holds its own against my Makita corded drill with a decent bit.
I am using a $25 Ozito battery adapter with Ozito batteries from my mower, which works perfectly. No need to spend $$$$ on expensive Dewalt batteries
where do you get the $25 ozito battery adapter?
You can get them off Amazon and ebay but they are more expensive. I got it from a guy on FB marketplace who sells a whole range of them for $25. I thought it would be a crappy home printed job but it was the same as the ones they sell on Amazon, new in the box. I got a few others from him as well

It is saying $285 for me

Don't buy Irwin.
