A good quality backpack definitely makes a difference when you need to haul a bunch of stuff for a decent amount of time.
While I do like my cheap backpacks for casual use, I definitely use a good backpack for international trips or big outings, and it definitely makes a difference
If you’re doing any kind of backpacking it’s well worth it. All my osprey gear has lasted me for past the decade mark.
What makes a backpack inherently female? The size?

I like the 40L as its more inline with carry on luggage limits for planes.
I think for hiking (locally obviously), this would be a better fit when you need to carry more than just clothes and essentials to a hotel room.
The 40 you can pair with the osprey day pack, and the loops work together so you have this 'super' pack, not sure if the 55 fits that as well.
This was a lot cheaper recently, not sure this is such a great price
