  • cant see the power distribution info

  • Does this one disconnect when cables are plugged in?

    • yes

      • The comment you linked to says this Belkin 108W charger does support dynamic power renegotiation, and therefore doesn't disconnect when cables are plugged in. This Reddit post also says the same.

I own one of these, and I just tried plugging in two phones into the two USB C ports. I didn't notice any disconnecting on the first phone, when I connected the second phone.

But this video review does show a disconnect happen when he draws power from the second USB C port. I suspect this happens only when the first USB C port is delivering 20 volts, and when the second port starts drawing power, the charger has to disconnect both USB C ports to change modes from 95+0 watts to 65+30 watts. I don't think the USB A ports are ever disconnected.

        • I wonder if there is a device — like a capacitor or something, that could be inserted between the power supply and device to bridge the power during renegotiation.

          • @Shermanpk: Insert something in the second USB C port to make it look always occupied? Interesting idea. But the first port will never be able to deliver 95 watts - it will always be limited to 65 watts when the second port is occupied. Also there might be technical difficulties of that thing preventing voltage and current negotiation between the actual device and charger.

  • APP20 does not work

  • Great price. Do I wish to risk the coil whine?

    • I brought one a few months ago when it was last discounted. No coil whine for me.

    • I've got the black version of this model. The coil whine is really bad.

      • I have the black version, no coil whine here? NFI why they are different… Also FYI this will not super fast charge the newer galaxy phones. Only Fast charge for those that care.

      • i've got 2. white one is perfect, black has coil whine. it's a mixed bag.

    • I’ve got one of these.

Cool whine only while I have stuff plugged into both USB A ports. So it’s very manageable.

      Great power brick imho.

      • We'd be using both usb A ports 100% of the time

  • I bought from Officeworks some months back. A bit less than this after PB. Coil whine is there, but only noticeable at night, and not always happening, i.e. not reproducible.
It's not a good charger though.
    Cons:
    - bulky
    - the 2nd type C port max out at 30w. My MacBook is ok with it, but my Lenovo laptop keeps complaining.
    - the two type A ports only give enough power for watches/headphones, which most likely are using type C these days. I ended up using one port for a monitor light, and plugged an A-C adaptor to the other port.

  • I have one of these. After 2-3 years of use, one of the USB-C port is now not working anymore.
