  • This Offer can be used in conjunction with other offers.

Does that mean it stacks with the current 10% gift card promotion? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/913292

    • Doesn’t apply to gift cards

      • The post is a little confusing because I saw "Stackable with gift cards, as long as at least $0.01 is via PayTo" but you are right it also says it is not applicable to gift cards further down..

  • +1

thanks for the heads up, especially the $0.01 via payto :)
cashrewards does amazon gift cards to the cent… so it was easy to only pay $0.01 via payto

    • -1

I'd rather use Macquarie Marketplace. Instant money off, any amount, and 3% to boot.

    • +1

How can we split payments between PayTo and gift cards ?

      • +1

add the full amount in gift cards minus $0.01. pay balance of $0.01 with payto

        • +1

          Got it ! Thanks.

I've already got a gift card added that's worth more than the purchase, so it doesn’t give me the option to use both.

          • @HillValleyHustle: damm thats a shame

          • +11

@HillValleyHustle: It actually does work even if your gift card balance exceeds the price of the product. You just have to have the code activated first with an item that exceeds the value then once you can confirm it at checkout, remove it and add the item you want to buy to checkout. The promotional code still applies at checkout. I haven't actually placed an order yet doing this but my promo is available at checkout even when paid in full with gift cards

Thank you, this finally worked after I understood it. It was even ok for 2 S&S items in one order! To go through my steps again:

I had my two things in cart (~$53) and at the checkout page I selected Payto as the payment option and confirmed the price dropped down by 5% (~$48). At this point it couldn't use the balance from my gift card balance to pay, switching it to gift card payment made the price go back up (to $53).

Clicked cancel and exited checkout, added a random Dyson vacuum and went to check out again. It was defaulting to gift card balance/credit card, and I went and selected Payto as the payment method. Scrolled down to where the Dyson was on the checkout page and hit Delete/trash bin icon.

With my original two items remaining on the checkout page, I was then left with it displaying that I was being charged on my gift card balance, however the final price was the -5% cost at $48.

        (Specifically,
        "Paying with Payto PayId ***.
        $48 gift card balance")

to add - the key here is to add an item that exceeds your gift card balance. I had $100 gc balance and had huggies with S&S but I kept on adding a $5 product and it didn't work. Once I added a vacuum that made my total exceed my gc balance I was allowed to checkout with the extra 5% and paid in full with gc.

I wonder if this works with other codes. I already used by NAB10 code so can't test.

        • I tried the same. But it removed the 5% off :/

          • +1

@Taita: It was still working the last time I tried (about 15 minutes ago). Try change your default payment method to PayTo - see if that works.

  • I suppose Payto would cancel cashbacks as it is a promo code?

    • Probably but if the item you are buying doesnt attract the higher cashback then the 5% off may still be better value.

I just bought a minipc that came to $399 after discount ($419.99 pre-discount) and if TopCashback accepts the order with the code, my cashback would have been $4.19 so the 5% discount is still $16 better than cashback.

  • +1

how many times can we do checkout?

    • +3

Appears the code can be used across multiple orders; used it on a bigger value order and just now tried to use it again on a smaller order and the code is being accepted.

  • Thanks!

  • +4

also this doesnt work for subscrive and save items either

    • +2

Probably needs to be in the title. Tried many ways to try get around it but didn't work.

      • +3

you need at least 1 item in your cart not S&S for it to work

        • Good workaround

  • Now we're talking

  • +1

Is there a limit to the number of orders I can apply this offer to?

  • You can't use this on items over $1000, except I am guessing if you have $1000 of amazon gift cards, which then makes limit $2k as you can only use $1k gift cards at a time.

    • There is no $1000 limit for gift cards.

  • +1

Hi there, thanks for sharing! Can someone please confirm if I buy something over $1000 like $1500. I could pay $500 on gift card and use payto for $1000 and get $5% off. Cheers

    • +1

      Also would love to know

      • +1

same, if someone could pls shed some light on this pls? :)

        • The PayTo discount applies to the value of the entire order. So even if you pay all of it with gift cards, you can actually still get the 5% discount on the entire order. Have a look at my post (and the follow up posts) about how to get that to work

          • @fbish: Yeah cool will do the trick and see, so you're saying it applies to orders over $1k too where 99.99% is paid via a GC and rest or 0.01c via payto payid mobile number way yeah? Unsure if the iteam I was after is still on sale but thanks 🙏

            • @SES: Sorry for the late reply - before it worked even if you paid the full thing in gift cards. The promotion has since changed - not sure if it still works or not

  • +1

Can someone please explain to me how you can split the payment to use a gift card ($0.01 PayTo)?

    • I suspect that you need your gift card balance to be lower than the amount you're buying (e.g. if you're buying $1000, have only $999.99 in your balance).

If your balance is higher, the (likely) workaround is to buy a dummy item that will drop your balance to below the amount, buy the item you want, then cancel the dummy item to get your balance released.
DISCLAIMER: I've never tried this, but it should work assuming you're fast enough. Amazon can technically reject the refund request though, so it's not without risk

    • So I just bought something listed as $339. After you subtract the 5% it's $322.05. So I bought a $322 gift card, then paid $0.05 via PayTo.

But people above are saying you can get it to work even if gift cards cover the full amount so maybe try that instead?

  • Can this code be used more than once?

    • -2

Have you read the comments above?

  • What’s the Payto Payment method and how do we select it?

    Thanks

    • You can add a PayTo where you select payment in the checkout screen.

Its a direct debit authorisation to a bank, like how PayPal lets you link a bank account.

  • +1

    Me buying a $1400 monitor 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
So now I need to get 400 giftcards?

  • What on earth is the point of this new system? Does it mess up amazon refunds?

    • Its a direct debit from your bank, so it means Amazon avoids having to pay MC/Visa money to process card payments.

In the long run will save them money if you get in the habit of using it, so they’re passing on the saving+a few percent extra right now to onboard people.

Not sure 100% how it works with refunds but worse case scenario is just that you have to take Amazon credit instead of a refund to your bank, but I would assume they can just put the money back in your bank account?

      • Not taking the chance with some potentially "dunno if it'll work" buys. Having Amazon credit/gift cards is just adding money to Jeff's money market account.

  • Accidentally paid for my order without PayTo. I would cancel it, but I've used a one time only coupon on one of the items and fear it won't come back if I try to reorder :(
Edit: Spoke with customer service and they won't reissue the coupon, damn.

    • +1

      I feel for you.
BUT I want to get out of this habit of chasing the deal for the best price. Has made me super penny wise pound foolish. Just ignore it. Think the price was $10 higher.

  • Which site/method gives the best discount for Amazon gift cards?

  • +1

    is this still working?
tried yesterday, was all good. but today cant :(

    • +1

      same here. :(

    • +3

If you click through it says "OFFER IS FULLY REDEEMED"

  • +3

    WHY DID I WAIT!

  • FARK! ALL OUT

  • I'm confused, where in the terms and condition did it mention a limit to the amount of customers?

    • "… when fully redeemed." "This Offer is subject to availability and may be withdrawn or amended without notice."

  • Damn i thought they would continue the discount for all of prime sales.
Maybe they didnt realise how many people would of taken advantage of it.

    • +3

Could also be they didn't intend for people to use gift card for 99% of the amount and only charge <$0.01 to it, so they pulled it

      • Maybe they will bring it back with new t&cs to not allow split payment with giftcards
