ASUS EEEPC 1000HA 160 GB 10.2" Screen White 160GB - $616.00 after price match and less 5%

121

Wireless 1 Parramatta are selling the asus eeepc 1000H white new 160GB, 10.2" screen. 1.45kg - code: ASUEEEPC1000HW040X for only $649.00 (in store price).

Print off the page from the Wireless 1 URL I have provided with the shops contact details and take it to your nearest officeworks asap. Be quick as I don't think this offer will last long at all.

Officeworks Australia wide will match the price and take a further 5% off the price, bringing the total to a very low $616.55. Officeworks list price for this netbook is $799.00.

Please note: this price is below cost price. Early bird gets the worm.

This offer is only applicable to the white netbook and not the black one. I prefer the glossy white as the black show up all the finger print marks.

Best of luck everyone. I hope you also get the same bargain as me.

This notebook is also voted number 1 by CNet for Nov and Dec.

  • Looks like an awesome deal. If i had $600 to throw around i'd be all over this..

    Sadly, i don't :(

  • damns.. this is a good deal!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't think Office Works stock that exact model.

    • I was just about to post the exact same thing. They only seem to stock the Asus EEE-PC 1000XPH Laptop Black. Can you post the like or upload the brochure to show which OW stocks these? Otherwise it can't really be a bargain if the product doesn't exist at the store you're trying to suggest purchase from.

    • agreed, OW only has the 80GB model, save yourself the trip! btw, the title is also misleading

  • The 1000H is no longer the latest model, as the N10 is now released at the $799~ pricepoint. Online Computers is selling the 1000H for $649, however it only has 80gb HDD but with 2GB RAM instead.

  • Just in case you are considering buying the computer at wireless1:

What you are also buying for $649 is the most unfriendly customer support I've experienced in my entire life. I bought a $400 phone there and paid 25 bucks for shipping and they put the phone in a bloody padded bag. The package looked like second hand when it arrived and the Christmas present was ruined… When I told them that I wasn't happy about it, they didn't care at all and told me its the postman's fault, I should discuss that with Australian Post… yeah sure its the postman's responsibility to choose choose the right packaging…

Just to let you know guys… Your computer might arrive in a padded bag and looks like second hand…

Why do people insist on posting deals as Officeworks deals when its not offered by Officeworks?

True, Officeworks has a price beat guarantee but I think deals should be posted as being offered by the retailer that actually is offering the great price and if people choose to go to Officeworks, that is their choice.

On principle, I will always buy a product from the retailer that offers the best price, not through a price beat from another retailer. If a particular retailer can't offer me the best price to begin with, then they don't deserve my business.

By not supporting the retailers that are offering the genuine bargains, you just discourage these retailers from offering these deals in future, because no one is interested when they do have these deals… or even worse, these retailers go out of business.

    • I agree but consumers have the power of their $ and what they percieve as "value" to them.

yeah especially when officework does not actually have the model to sell :(

Can someone please remove this as it certainly isnt a bargain from OW. Maybe from 1wireless it but as such a new thread should be started.

Thankssimonda.. I followed your instruction .. and gave officework the details of Wireless1. They checked with W1 and said it was frine to give 5% discount over w1 price. So i got it for $616… the best price I have seen. The manager insists that the deal is only for white so he can only give white. but there was another customer who was looking for a good deal so she got one as well on the same price… she was soo happy… at the check out there was this new young kid… and I said I want the black one so he said Ok…. so basically got the black one for $616 at OW at Castle Hill… now looking to upgrade my ram to 2 GB.. any one know where to buy or swap…The 1000H wasn't on display but they have stock and it s 160GB… comes with laptop sleeve aS WELL… AWSSOME… IT IS NOT better feeling than getting a good deal for ur self and for someone else….

I just picked up my EeePc from OfficeWorks in Adelaide for $616.55. The sales person just needed to confirm that Wireless 1 had a store front (not online only) and he was happy to match the $649 price, less 5%. I also thought that OfficeWorks didn't sell the 160gb model and was pleasantly surprised when I rang this morning and they advised they had them in stock. I nearly purchased an 80GB model for $599 from them yesterday. It paid to wait and do a little more online research. An extra 80GB for $17 seems like a pretty good deal to me. :-)
    Thanks for the post simonda.

  • I went to Officeworks on New Year's Day and the guy brought the 160GB from out the back which they had not put on display yet. They had their last 80GB (white) on display which he was trying to sell me. So they do have it.
