Was looking for something cheap and hopefully not too nasty for a little craftwork!
This one has decent reviews, and has a 23% coupon on top of the 18% it's already discounted, dropping it from $40 to $25.40.
Make sure to tick the coupon box :-)

Interesting. Is it something they have all the time?
Nope just from today
Nice timing. Just found it and it looks like it has less (but different) accessories. I like all the sanders that come with the Amazon one. The 12V on the Aldi might be nice though. Gonna go check it out in person :-)
any links. I failed to find one with usbc charging.
Same. If you find a link let me know. Thank you

I went and picked one up today. Will compare to the one I originally posted and return one of them :p
@Jake T: cool. So is it usb-c charging? the description says usbc cable. but the charger in the photo is showing 12v barrel type adapter
@id: I picked one up this afternoon. I cannot see any USBc ports. Definitely looks to be the barrel charger
@Dreid: That's really odd. I bought it last year and it was. All the other 12v tools look to have the same battery and USB c charging too.
Website even says it is

@id: I bought it last year and came in different packaging but was USB c charging from the battery.

This Amazon one looks like the handle is smaller and hopefully lighter than the Aldi one. I already have a dremel but this looks nice and small, useful for quick small jobs instead of getting the big guy out. Bought one to use to finish off 3d prints.
I just had a quick look.
From what I could see, the ALDI rotating tool does not have USB charging.
It is supplied with a DC plug pack, and a battery with a DC port for charging, and could see no USB-C port on the battery or tool.
That's a shame.
I wonder why they decided to do that?
The one I got last year uses the same USB c battery as the rest of the 12v tools
Yep, can confirm, I bought one and opened it up. No usb-c port on battery or tool. I think I'll return it and hope that they go back to the usb-c model the next time this comes around.
Yeah same happened to me. I like the tool but i can't be bothered with another charger, not worth the hassle
I picked one up from Aldi today - as others have mentioned, it's not USB-C charging even though the listing says it is.
It would also have been nice if they spent more than 1c on the plastic tray that supports the tool and accessories - that POS is going to break within minutes.
Are these battery powered rotary tools, strong enough to drill small fine holes into stainless steel?
Aldi one is.
This one, I doubt it.
FYI you can get this from AliExpress as a bundle deal for about $5 without accessories or $8 with accessories.
get DSPIAE ES-P Electric Sander Sharpening Pen over this. This struggles a lot with resistance. dspiae one is way powerful.
Horrible.. Get the one from ALDI for $30. 12v, way more accessories, USB C charging
