    • Does anyone know where to buy Jumper Cables for these, I have the Jump Starter already?

      • +1

        Ebay, aliexpress, amazon?

        • -1

I tried those including temu as well but I suspect they are not compatible with my GT1500.
Also reached to their customer care but they have the same template reply asking me to buy a whole new pack altogether.

          • +1

@TaurusHead: ULPT buy and return the unit as faulty less jumper leads.

      • They came with it already

        • I've a unit sitting with me already but the cables were taken at the Airport security

    • +2

I bought this a month ago. Very happy.

      • +2

5yrs & mine still works well, used regular, the light handy when I arrive home after dark, live rural, but is painful to use.

        • +2

Same here. Works great at starting cars but mostly gets used as a power bank during blackouts and trips.

        • +1

What makes it painful to use?

I've had GT3000 for 3 years and it's been great, but I'm thinking about getting the A3 with air compressor for my father-in-law.

          • @chewbot: The light is a basterd to turn off and takes an extended press to get it on.

      • Looked at listing to see how you charge this starter/air comp. but saw nothing?

Do you charge this via usb c, and at what rate/speed?

        • I was surprised it's not clearly in the specs, but one of the images has it charging via usb c and it says: USB-C input: 5V/2.4A. Hopefully we can trust that.

          • @chewbot: Thanks.
Definately kind of all day or overnight then.

Be super careful with these, mine caught fire whilst trying to jump start a car in the garage and exploded.

      • Pebgfajs

      • Damn, that sounds scary. Worst place to have fire is the engine bay, especially if it falls in those gaps next to the battery.

      • more details please? how did you store it and which model?

      • +1

        Hey nadan,

Can you please share some details with us. I am super curious.

        Which model was it?

Anything of note about how it was being used at the time, or previously?

        Also,
how did you deal with the fire?

        • i'm calling bullshit from comment above…

        • -1

I had used it many times previously and this time when I pressed the boost button there was a plastic burning smell, before I noticed where it was coming from, the cable shield started melting and I managed to grab the whole thing and throw it in the middle of the court and that is where it literally exploded and not into pieces but more like burst.

It wasn't quite a fire but lots of smoke and I left it until there was no more smoke before dousing it in water.

    • I thought buying one but the discount code does not work. The price is $108.29.

  • +1

    Price in title please

  • +2

Could I get an air compressor and 100w charging or being too greedy?

    • +1

Been seeing adds for those in social media feeds, checked them out & they are scams, Alibaba is the owner of the sites & Alibaba is the company behind AliExpress.

  • +1

Just on these mine died very quickly. I suspect because I wasn't using it so worth perhaps charging and using it as a torch or powerbank a little just to cycle it.

    • +1

Mine died too. Wont charge anymore… Got quite a few uses out of it though and lasted 3.5 years.

    • @ drorox how old was your unit when it failed? How long since you last charged it when it failed?

      • +1

I'd be guessing a bit but I think about 18 months old and I'd used it a handful of times. I may not have charged it for 2 months say.

        • Oh, not so old. Most units similar to this should not be flat or at least not be able to charge after only 2-3 months,
even if left in a shaded part of a vehicle.

Was it no longer within warranty?

          • +1

@ozhunter68: I don't recall but given the price may have opted not to pursue it anyway. Glad to see so many people having good experiences though. Certainly when they work they're incredibly good devices!

    • which model?

  • +2

Got a GT4000 and GT6000, stupidly powerful jump starters, and recharges at over 100w up till 98%. Get the ones with the included case. Very happy

  • +1

Got GOOLOO 1500A Peak SuperSafe Car Jump Starter in Oct 2018, still jumping commonwhores.

MiL got GOOLOO Upgraded 2000A Peak SuperSafe Car Jump Starter which she didn't recharge so died within 12 months. The replacement one still kicking after 2 years.

Both kids driving now so got a new GOOLOO GP2000 late 2023

Every now and then I use it to charge the phones to cycle the batteries.

    • Same with the gooloo1500 bought in 2018… Just jump started a car with it the other day .. still going strong. commonwhores.

  • +1

I had a 2000 that could only jump my 1.6L Hyundai once off a single charge.

To be fair they were pretty reasonable about sending out a replacement though I haven’t tested whether it’s got the same issue yet.

  • +1

Thanks OP, been seeing these pop up for years and always been "gunna" get one. Finally bit the bullet and got a GT3000 Red.

  • +1

Looking at picking up an A3 and looks to be a good all round unit with also being able to check car tires.

Tracked down a copy of the manual and just wanting to confirm that you can set tire pressure in PSI to inflate them? Would make no sense if you can't, but the table in the manual around minimum and maximum pressure for different settings jumps around in units.

    • +2

Got mine today. It's in PSI.

      • +1

Thanks for confirming. I ended up ordering yesterday anyway.

    • +1

Very Impressed with the tire inflator, pumps bike cars very quickly, I believe also tried with soccer ball and tyre.
