Ah the weekly 27q bargain. Trying my hardest not to buy a third.

      These are the new Eneloops.

  • How do these compare to the Gigabyte M27QA or Lg 27Gs75q

    • +2

The original 27q is a bit dated now, but still a solid unit. Monitors of this spec haven't really improved in performance, just their availability has increased and prices have dropped over the years.

Personally, I'd recommend the Gigabyte as it's the only one with a proper review (pixel response time and measured colour accuracy)

You couldn't go wrong with any of them to be honest. Buy whatever is cheaper/suits your needs best and enjoy.

  • I have a dell 27s22qc, was looking to double up. But they seem to have run out of stock everywhere.

    2 questions

Mixing dell and HP make any difference?

Mixing QHD and UHD is that going to be annoying?

    • Sell/return the Dell and just buy two of these

    • I hate mixing monitors, the frame edges are always different and visually tickles my ocd. Then there are things like colour settings which are noticably different.

  • cheaper to get the MSI MAG 275QF as recommended by Monitors Unboxed

Anyone know the difference between the original and the G2, that makes the G2 worth an extra $40?

Can't see a lot online, but from comparing HP's product pages, the G2 has a slightly better refresh rate (+15Hz), HDR400, factory colour callibration, "4K downscaling for Console HDR Support", and is "VESA ClearMR 5000 certified"; however, it also has a shorter warranty (3 years vs 1 year) and is downgraded to FreeSync (from FreeSync Premium).

Not sure how impactful any of these differences are except for the shorter warranty?

HDR400 is the marketing way to say, 'We have HDR but don't actually use this for HDR'. 27q (non-G2) is also VESA ClearMR 5000. In my opinion, it's not worth the extra $40.

I'm probably going to have my next monitor for 10 years, should I wait to get one with usb-c?

  • These monitors fit for office setup?

    • +3

Overkill, you don't need such a high refresh rate

Anyone seen any good ~32" 4k monitor deals? Feels like its been forever

    • Will be for gaming so IPS and at least 144hz preferred 🙏

what games are you running at 144fps in 4k?
