    • Seems like the IKEA walker is too light to support a toddler safely and may tip forward, risking a head injury.

      • +4

I have used the UPPSTÅ Walker with 3 different toddlers learning to walk.

You can always add something heavy to the tray to lower the centre of gravity, but I have generally used the walker empty the majority of the time with no issues

IMO the most important thing is the ability regulate the resistance on the wheels to help the toddler stay upright when pushing - and you change it as they get stronger / more confident pushing

      • How heavy is this one though?

$110 seems super expensive o.o does look like I feel rest assured if I bought this though compared to some cheaper one

Every time the OP posts on Ozbargain its to advertise their product, and gets the same feedback that its a poor deal.

    • +4

This. I already found it cheaper on Aliexpress, but I can't be (profanity) posting the links

    • If you find a better price for the Plan Toys Baby Walker(PT5287) anywhere else on the market, just let us know — and we’ll give you one for free!

While the price is a joke, you are comparing apples with pears

Our product are Eco-Friendly & Safe – Made from chemical-free rubberwood and non-toxic dyes, perfect for your little one and the environment.

      • -2

I think you need to highlight the non-toxic selling points of this product. Unfortunately it's the same comments every time from people who are ignorant and want to compare this to cheapo alternatives.

    • Just ordered this. Thanks

Don't pay the eco-natural baby tax.

Reduce waste and get toys from facebook groups, and pass it on when you're done.

    • -1

Yeah and bring covid into your home as a second hand thrift gift for your baby?

      • Have you never had hand me downs?

Sure, there are some toys I wouldn't want second hand but many are designed to be washed or can be easily cleaned.

        • I forgot the "/s"

Definitely if you can find Plan Toys toys second hand for a good price that would be even better.

Some people have nothing better to do than complain like children, criticizing without understanding the true value of a quality, educational, and safe product.

We focus on delivering real benefits that matter — because that’s what counts!

    • +5

Nope what matters is whether or not it's a bargain. Members on a community website are allowed to comment & judge deals, that's kind of a huge part of how OzB works.

When you posted this in April I said-

The normal price of $170 on your website is misleading because as mentioned last ad it's $150 on your eBay store & still is now.
Say no to OzB becoming OzFreeAdz.

    • +3

This is OzBargain, we value genuine savings, vetoed by the community.

Seems like you should be used to dealing with children as a children toys retailer.
I'm sure IKEA does rigorous testing, and then there are rules, regulations & safety standards

      • AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2023 “Safety of toys – Part 1: Safety aspects related to mechanical and physical
      • ISO 8124‑1:2022 “Safety of toys – Part 1: Safety aspects related to mechanical and physical
      • EN 71‑1:2014 + A1:2018 “Safety of toys – Part 1: Mechanical and physical properties”
      • ASTM F963‑17 “Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety”

Neg for unprofessional conduct as a store rep.

Also for posting non-deals that clearly don't get any traction and comparable products can be found cheaper elsewhere as noted above (and other deals).

Yes, negative 1.2 upvotes average across all their deals on OzBargain. That's pretty bad.

Genuine question: What was the purpose of this post?
Is it to help the community, or just vent because things didn’t go your way?
Just saying – some people have nothing better to do than complain like children

        • +3

To highlight this isn't a deal and you are unprofessional? Your time on OzBargain will be short with the reputation you have already.

some people have nothing better to do than complain like children

Good luck to anyone who ever has to deal with you if an issue were to arise. You'll call them children too and give them attitude like you do here publically.

It’s become clear to me that a certain crowd frequents OzBargain—often quick to judge, slow to think, and seemingly more interested in tearing others down than contributing anything meaningful.

Have a look at the Makedo deal, a genuine deal where cheaper alternatives were also discussed.

    like children
    like children

So many members being called children, yet none of these "children" seem to be interested in your children's toy you're advertising. Marketing fail.

All I need is the "You're hurting an Aussie family business" or "I am seeking legal advice about possible defamation action" and I will have my BINGO!

Anyway, I was looking around for some toys for my neighbours child's first birthday and since he is up to that stage, I thought something like this might suffice, so it caught my attention… Yep. I think I'll just skip this store. Im negging based on it not being a deal, as there are plenty of alternatives to be had for much cheaper. Added to that, I really dont like when store owners get emotionally invested in these posts. They need to really consider an impartial social media team to engage and not let their "feelings" run their account. I just hate to think how they deal with any issues or returns, let alone how they talk to their staff.
