Update : 28/07 5:55pm

24pc allotment sold through and thus the deal is expired.

If you're still keen, there is a $250 discount + bonus free headset offer via a promo code that can be used in combination with this (or any other) PC, which still puts it at $288 cheaper than PCPP DIY pricing, plus the bonus EPOS gaming headset on top. Code TAXTIME25 for anyone interested.

Thanks to everyone who locked in an order! Keep an eye out for more deals in the near future.

Bit of an impromptu offering for this post but a customer just asked us to match a recently posted deal from a competitor here that's just hit the home page this afternoon and this is what we came up with. They seemed pretty happy with it, so we figured we'd open it up to everyone for a little while. Limited stock, so this will be a much shorter run deal than our previous ones (max 24pc) but we do have some other deals we're hoping to post later next week that we've been planning for a while.

We usually have a bunch pre-built ready to go but this time around we'll have to be building them to order… turn around time ~ 7-10 days but we'll do our best to keep it to a minimum.

Just as we were with our last deal offered linked here, we're a bit more expensive than the competing offer but with much higher end components at a deeper overall discount to DIY/PCPP pricing.

πŸ’‘ How do we compare at a glance

βœ… Superior Motherboard (Particularly on the VRM front with 10 Phase vs 4, but also on the software side)
βœ… MSI vs Palit RTX 5080 (PCPP Cheapest $2199 vs $1945)
βœ… Faster & lower latency RAM (6400MHz CL32 vs 6000 CL36)
βœ… ATX 3.1 / PCIe5 PSU with 7 year warranty and native 12v2x6 cable, vs non ATX2.52 (+adapter 12VPWR cable required?)
βœ… Lexar 7000/6000 R/W MBs NVMe SSD vs Biwin 6000/5000MBs
βœ… RGB 120mm Tower Air Cooler vs Non RGB (No big deal, but matches chassis)
βœ… Higher end name brand (MSI) chassis with 4 RGB fans + HUB/Controller vs just 3.
βœ… $538 cheaper than PC PartPicker DIY Pricing vs $362
❌ no redeemable gift card eligibility vs $20 USD Steam Gift Card

      Oh hello again πŸ‘‹

Guess this deal isn't for you either.. Maybe next time πŸ™ƒ

        but…but he bought a 9800x3d for 175 dollars!

          • +2

@marshmall0w2: Thanks a lot, you warped my budget perspective for a while there as I was trying to get my head around market prices for current gen.

            • -1

@cydia9k: Price you can get from Aliexpress using coupons is always going to be lower than retail from an Australian bricks and mortar store. Of course the main thing is warranty and risk. If something goes wrong I know who I'd rather be dealing with to resolve it.

              • -8

@Elyxar: Why don't you comment this on every AliExpress deal then? Oh wait, too scared to get negged. Plenty have bought legitimate CPUs on AliExpress and lived to tell the tale. Conversely, several have bought from Australian retailers (PC makers) and dreaded the response by said PC makers unless you drop the words "ACCC"

My guess - he could be/work for one of the competitors and hates seeing better deals

pairing the 5080 with an 850W psu would be a safer choice.

    • +4

Of course if you're shopping around with potential 'budget' 750W power supplies of varying quality / spec… maybe. However with a high quality ATX3.1 / PCIe5.1 750w power supply like the one we're using here, that actually meets the ATX3.1 total and GPU excursion spec with 600w on the 12V2X6 connector will handle a RTX5080 with no problems at all. We have hundreds of builds in the wild running just fine πŸ™‚

Thank you for offering another great deal (posting this in contrast to the negative remarks!)

      • +2

Apples and oranges sir. Look we've all got our preferences, some like Woolies, some like Coles. Some like Rexona, some like Lynx
Some like Weet Bix, some like Vita Brits.
Some like Holden, some like Ford
Some like Sony, some like Nintendo
Some like Nadal, some like Federer
Some (ok EVERYONE) likes David Hasselhoff, some like Glenn Powell

Can't we all just get along ?

The card says min power supply requirement as 850W.

    • -5

Evatech really needs to get investigated for vote manipulation. Their response to this 850W is "our 600W is high quality and we haven't seen any issues" like bruh okay.

    • +1

Min psu requirements are usually over estimated just to stay absolutely on the safe side.

    • +1

I kinda agree that an 850 for a 5080 makes more sense as the headroom for power spikes is a lot more comfortable. Yes the 750 might be ok . But there is little for reassurance in those situations.
It's an extra $40 to add in the options.. bump the price of the build slightly or better yet try to keep it same and just chuck the 850 in. Keep the 750 for the 5070ti builds.
I'd leave the 750w as an option to downgrade rather than a default.

  • Great work EVATech, I'm looking at a 5080 build this calendar year and this is mighty tempting. Using a holdover 3060 gaming laptop at the moment as my last BIY PC finally gave up the ghost last year (with a surprisingly robust AMD Radeon HD 7950 from 2012)… I think its time to upgrade :!

    • Wow I had that GPU too. Great heater in winter

  • Does the PC also come with the component boxes if doing pick up?

    • +1

Typically it's all discarded, but you can request any available retail packaging be provided with a note left at checkout (pick up orders only).

Some components we buy from manufacturers in SI (bulk) packaging to minimize waste and lower shipping costs, for these items there would be no retail packaging available so we can't guarantee it for everything.

  • +1

Would love to see more ITX builds published/promoted, even if we have to pay the ITX-Tax.

  • Can you elaborate on the other deals you're planning to post later next week?

    • +1

Sorry, they're still subject to change so we're keeping a lid on them until they're all locked in.

From what I can see though, will be unlikely to be anything that directly compares with this deal. Likely targeting lower specs and lower price points.

  • -4

7800x3d is clearly a stock taking sale.
9600x or 9700x are way better

    • +1

For those reading this comment … this should be taken as a joke .. I presume..??

  • Good price considering the quality components. Would have bought this if I could afford it.

  • Could you do a 9600x build for me w/out GPU?

    • Most likely, shoot us an email via our contact page on the website with the request and we'll see what we can do!

  • are any of the case options, have most of the ports/power button up the top? i.e. i can leave the desktop on the floor and access it all from above?

    • The default chassis (321R) will have the IO panel at the top panel at the front. Alternatively the AP201 have the IO at the top of the front panel.

The others (PANO, Dan A3 and 4000D Frame) all have IO panels towards the bottom so they're probably no good in your case.

  • Can you build it in a lian li Dan a3?

    • +1

Sure can, both the black and the white in wallnut (wood front panel) editions are available as options once you click through to the product page. Just click 'more options' under the chassis category.

      • I’d be curious if you could do me a 5070 deal. This is outside my price range tbf. I’ll send an email anyhow.

        • You can change the GPU down to a 5070 on the website this deal links to. I just did that in order to up spec mobo, ram, psu.

  • +1

Hey team - Love that I can customise this. Hoping to put an order in within the fortnight based on tax return. One question - can you add an option for more RAM, please? I'd love to drop in a B850 and then have 96gb ram or better. If you could add some options for 64, 96, 128 that would be fab and allow for the picking of an informed price point.

  • bit the bullet, thanks guys.

    • this is also the first pc i havent built since our first family PC…. 25 years maybe.
