Gaming PC: MSI RTX5080 Inspire OC / 7800X3D / 32GB 6000 C30 D5 / 850W ATX3.1 / 240MM AIO $3280 + Delivery ($0 VIC C&C) @ Evatech

LASTCHANCE

We couldn’t help but notice a surge of customers asking if we can match TF’s aggressively priced $2888 RTX 5080 deal and since we’re overdue for a final EOFY OzBargain offer, here it is.

While we don’t carry the budget-tier components needed to hit that exact price, we figured some of you might prefer a higher quality, better-specced build with a deeper dollar discount over DIY pricing, plus our signature first-class service and triple-length warranty.

According to PCPartPicker, the specs below would cost $3900 $3800 to DIY link, and since TF’s deal is $619 cheaper than that, we’ve gone ahead and knocked off $520 from ours. (edit due to PCPP part mix up 🤦 / fixed now! thanks @talond for catching that one in the comments!)

💡 How Do We Stack Up at a Glance?

✅ Asus TUF B650M-E WiFi with superior VRMs and cooling (TF’s equivalent is a +$50 upgrade)
✅ 240mm AIO Liquid Cooler vs budget tower air cooler (+$120 upgrade at TF)
✅ MSI MAG PANO M100R PZ Case, more premium build (+$69 upgrade at TF)
✅ MSI Inspire 3X OC RTX 5080 ($2299 at PCPP) vs Palit Gaming Pro ($1999 at PCPP)
✅ Hynix A-Die DDR5 CL30 RAM vs unspecified (likely CL36)
✅ MSI A850GL ATX3.1 / PCIe5.1 PSU w/ 12V-2x6 Connector & 7 Year Warranty vs unspecified (Inwin/Antec?)
✅ 3-Year System Warranty included vs +$249 upgrade at TF

🧠 CPU Note: Yes, we use a Ryzen 7800X3D vs their 9800X3D, but in 1440p / 4K gaming, that’s just a 1–3% performance difference. The 9800X3D is an option for those who want the best of the best, but the 7800X3D is the better value high end CPU for the price in our opinion. If you’re still gaming at 1080p on an RTX 5080… maybe it's time to subscribe to monitor deals here on OzB..

🎯 TL;DR Why Pick This Over the Competition?

It’s a bit more expensive, sure. But you get:

  • The same deep discount vs DIY
  • Higher-tier parts across the board
  • Guaranteed component brands & models
  • Triple the system warranty

TF’s offer is solid, no doubt, but if you're eyeing that deal with upgrades and a longer warranty, we beat the price once those extras are included, with better RAM, a more premium PSU, and a top tier model of 5080 that retails at ~ $300 more than the Palit equivalent.

$620 cheaper than cheapest retail on just the components if you were to DIY it yourself … wow, tough crowd 😅

As we mentioned above though, totally understand our offer won't be for everyone!

I'm sure for most people the savings are worth the trade offs and will go for the other deal. We don't even stock those cheaper components so we're here to offer a 'bargain' for the minority who are happy to pay a bit more for the premium upgrades.

        • +5

not everyone compare value based on price only which is literally all you are doing and something Evatech has very clearly stated they are not marketting to in this deal

        • +4

Then off you pop and go buy your bottom of the barrel system.

      • And if you recieve your PC before 14th July (bought before 30th june) you could claim a free copy of Doom the dark ages from ASUS

      • Don't worry OP this seems to be a troll, as they claimed to be able to get a Ryzen 7700 for $126 and then later $144 when questioned, but still couldn't provide any proof…….. because there was none.

A long history of similar negged comments.

    • +1

      based on what metrics?

        • +3

          so price only…

Thats like saying Telstra is a poor deal because they are more expensive than Optus for a mobile service because optus is historically cheaper

You pay telstra for better coverage..

You are paying here for more peace of mind you are getting more brand named components

          • -2

@warclone: Lol the other deals have a 9800X3D at this price and mid MSI components like PSU with a literal mATX chassis. That's not that much better bro

          • @warclone: The latest (available) Techfast deal is cheaper after discount
            - $418 cheaper (9800X3D & RTX 5080)
            - $163 cheaper (7800X3D & RTX 5070 TI)
Some differences are the brand of some components and upgrade choices.
$418 (or $163) for MSI-brand premium might be worth comparing to a random brand (Galax, PNY, Inno3D or Colorful) Techfast will give you. So yeah you are right with the brand thing.
Edit: Noted that Fastech does not have liquid cooler as default, so I added their 240mm liquid cooler to make the deal look fair

        • was cheaper

What about current, active deals you can get right now?

          • -4

@smartazz104: Lol the argument about active deals is always piss poor. It's not about active deals than it is about simply being a good deal. That's like saying the MX Master 3S at $150 is a steal because that's the current deal, when good deal is $100 or so

            • +1

              @marshmall0w2: As I commented above.
Techfast does not have 7800X3D & 5080 deal that I am aware of, so it edited both to have 7800X3D, 5070 Ti, 240mm CPU liquid cooling, same RAM & SSD specs, similar case and PSU.
Techfast deal is only $163 cheaper with roughly the same specs but lower tier brands.
NebulaPC deal is $72 cheaper with lower specs mobo and less lower tier brands.
So the price for going premium might be worth it for some but not for all.
Personally I would go for that premium build knowing that I would have better future resale value if I want to swap out some components or a whole new desktop.

              • @toommy: there's also the warranty factor as well to consider, if it's important to you

                • @Zitane: I overlooked that but it looks like only NebulaPC offers 3-year warranty as default. My PCs (mostly Asus/MSI) have never had any defects even after manufacturer warranty period so I will keep testing my luck.

              • @toommy: Lets not pretend brands are not part of it.

        • +4

And you were complaining on that thread about the low end parts.

      • +3

        Keep digging.

      • +2

Obviously you have not noticed there are differences of component specs in the cheaper deals (Techfast and NebulaPC).
They both use the common Gigabyte B650M GAMING PLUS does not have pump header so you will be missing out on liquid cooling performance, only support PCIe 4.0x4 SSD and USB 3.2 Gen 1. NebulaPC charges $150+ for changing the mobo alone while it adds another $50 with Techfast.

        • -2

Yeah, not exactly that great of a difference given you're in an mATX board. Furthermore, those USB specs don't do it for me to consider this a good deal. People may be willing to be 3.3k for this build, but I tell it as it is.

          • @marshmall0w2: Maybe not for ya but for the ones like meself find this not poor deal at all

  • +4

At least the upgrade paths are good on this one. Nebula charging $500 to go from a 7800X3D to 9800X3D lol, this one is $300 and case upgrade paths are $20 to 90 as opposed to $100-200+

Never heard of these Klevv parts though but the RAM upgrade path seem good on paper.

    • +5

KLEVV is owned by SK Hynix.

SK Hynix is one of a handful of manufacturers that actually fabricate the memory modules that all other RAM brands use on their modules (and coincided the best by many)

Corsair, Kingston, Team, Adata, G.Skill, etc etc all use SK Hynix A Die memory on their tippy top end models.

      • Not ture. Klevv is owned by Essencore. Essencore is owned by SK. SK Hynix is owned by SK.

        • Ah, you're right, structure was a little off, but essentially… KLEVV < SK and SK > SK Hynix so ~ same/same.

          • +3

@evatech: You're doing well in promoting Klevv as an eligible brand, but it is not responsible to say Hynix owns Klevv although this is a widespread rumour. It's not the same, Klevv does not only use Hynix products, unlike the relation between Crucial and Micron or ZHITAI and YMTC.

This statement is misleading, they are not same same

            • @Meteor Anarcom: Fair :)

Our original point was more to say that KLEVV, while being a relatively new brand (here in Australia at least) is actually 'part of' one of the largest biggest players in the entire PC memory market, and not some fly-by-night generic taobao special.

Didn't mean to imply every kit of KLEVV ram is exclusively using SK made modules… that I'm not sure about, but the kits we sell are.

Will be sure to clarify if every asked in the future.

              • +2

@evatech: Ironically, the origin of the rumour "Hynix owns Klevv" did come from some "fly-by-night generic taobao special" as you said. If you want to differentiate yours with them, don't do the same thing as they did, it was a marketing fraud.

They did this in China, don't bring it to Australia. You can do better than they did

  • Has anyone dealt with evatech before appreciate any feedback.

    • +1

Yep got my GPU-less build from them in a deal here. Main draw was quality customer service and a step up in component quality over some other builders here. Price was still good.

Comms were good and they were flexible with my requests and chopping/ changing components at the last minute :)

PC was built and ready for pickup bang on estimated date and has been wonderful. Windows installed, drivers all up to date, and ready to go.

Slotted in my 9070XT and been enjoying Flight Sim 2024 at 4K native with a near-silent machine ever since :)

I had one small ‘issue’ (which turns out was a ‘me’ problem) and got a response from support in about 10 mins

      Would definitely recommend.

    • +2

yep got a 4070 Ti Super x 7500F deal during black Friday last year, 10/10. They even let me come in after hours on a Friday night to pick up my build :)

If you're in Vic, go with these guys C/C and save heaps of money on shipping

    • +1

Yep bought a 7800x3d + 4080S deal previously. Great communication and updates. Can't fault the rig, running great. Would buy from them again without a doubt.

  • Looks like Part Picker has the CPU cooler listed twice?

    • big offt 🤦 fixed in post! dang it.

good catch! too many bloody chrome tabs open at once and was triple checking the wrong one 😅

  • -3

So what you (Evatech) are telling us is that we have less options than what TF have in their build while also telling us that you will only build a more upgraded version of the TF build? Why not give us the same options as TF and make your price for the standard build + options if we want to upgrade? Give us some choice rather than just no other option.

    • +14

Wish we could, but when it comes to practicality behind the scenes we can't be all things for all people. We lean towards the premium end of the component market and don't list or stock half the component models that would be need to offer the TF deal in an apples to apples comparison… not to mention the TF deal already exists for those who want it and all credit to them, it's a hell of a price even for cheaper gear.

      • +3

Fair enough mate. Just trying to play a bit of devil's advocate but looks like you have explained yourself really well. Thank you.

  • If it is a 9800X3D, then I believe it is a good deal?

  • -1

does anyone actually pay the prices on pc part picker though? is it just me or none of them seem to be current or what you can actually wheel and deal or find them for if you look hard enough…?

    • +8

PCPP will cherry pick the cheapest possible price from pretty much every major retailer in the country and show pricing before any shipping, as if you're able to drive between 2-3 states to pick it up all yourself 😅

Sure, well timed ebay coupon codes, grey imports amazon germany RAM, alibaba tray cpu… you can cobble something together cheaper if you really tried, but generally speaking most customers probably buy most if not everything from a single store out of convenience and end up paying quiet a bit more than PCPP's total in doing so.

        • +5

          You're not wrong :)

I think PCPP is just a quick easy convenient tool to get a 'pretty much the cheapest price you can get right now from a reputable retailer here in Australia' price across each component.

A (somewhat) comparable yard stick that's been adopted by the handful of PC retailers competing here.

You're right in that it should be only taken for what it is, and that's a database of prices for the very specific model of component offered, available from a subset (although be it most) major Aussie retailers.

  • Unrelated question.

Can I replace my MSI 4080 super with 5080 by handing it in and paying some on top? Purchased it last year from gala power, a complete PC. Immaculate condition and I also got the box from them.

    • Not sure if Gala will offer a service like that but we can't take trade ins on used hardware unfortunately as we don't sell anything but 100% brand new gear.

More than happy to do you a deal on the 5080 and install it for you (if you're local to our Keysborough HQ!) but we'd have to hand you back your old 4080 alongside the upgraded PC when it's all done.

      • Ahh okay, how much would the 5080 cost 👀

        • shoot us a message via the contact page on our website and someone from our sales team will help you out!

  • +1

The Klevv SSDs seem to be questionable in quality? https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/1bvgrqw/my_klevv_…

    • +6

Possibly a bad batch problem that never hit us here in Australia, but we've sold 1000's of the C910 range of SSDs and the failure rate is extremely low (so far!)

Samsung 980's had that firmware issue that killed a done of their 2TB models and at the time they were considered the gold standard for quality and reliability. We've had bad batches of WD Black SN850's and Team MP44a and some PNY's CS2241 that had a much higher than average failure rate and we promptly drop them for something else. Unfortunately it's just luck of the draw in this industry for this type of product. Some brands are better than others and we learn from experience and avoid the really cheap budget ones just in case.

Fair chance if you google a part number for a relatively popular SSD + 'dead' you'll find a bunch of anecdotal discussions online with a bunch of unlucky users discussing their issues.

It's like couriers! 99.5% of parcels delivered safely and on time, and the only people who get upset enough to leave a review or post a forum thread about their experiences are the unlucky 0.5% that get a damaged or missing parcel.

Either way, back up your data! Even the most expensive fancy brand models can fail.

      • Do you have HP FX700 1 TB drives? How do they compare?

        • Not currently on hand and haven't sold enough of them to have comparable reliability metrics. It seems BIWIN is the OEM for most HP branded RAM and SSDs. Reputation is for being cheap, but can't say that necessarily means bad quality. We just rarely if ever actually use them when there are more reputable brands available for 'close enough' to the same price.

  • +3

I for one, certainly prefer these type of builds than the bargain basement unspecified parts builds, which then have over the top upgrade options.
Not for me atm though, was recently looking at new builds, but decided to update the old i9-9900k/2080ti system with with a 5070ti … should keep me going for another year or so

  • Replied to a post above but in case it’s missed- I bought a previous GPU-less build from these guys. It was put together on time and has been running very well ever since.

I can only recommend if you want a pre-built with the step up in component tier and service level for reasonable and small premium. I feel it is reflected in what you get.

Important consideration was they had the Dan case as an option too, which Nebufast couldn’t offer at the time I bought.

  • +8

Solid deal, much prefer having these as the standard rather than getting absolutely ripped off on upgrading to these (almost necessary) components.

The less educated will be a tough crowd to please, don’t even listen lol… They are the same ones to buy a C-tier PSU, RAM, SSD and Cases/Cooling but pair it with their multi-thousand dollar CPU & GPU. Then they will come crying in the comments once their PSU fks up their whole PC and their 1yr warranty is done. 🤦🏻‍♂️

    • +2

      ❤️

Can see both sides! Sadly we're only able to cater to one.

Not our first OzBargain rodeo 😋 but we do appreciate the words of encouragement!

  • +2

key thing that OP doesn't note - Evatech actually has the components for their builds, TF will sell you something that don't have on hand. Evatech you'll get within their time frames, TF you might need to double or triple their time frames

    • +4

Can confirm everything is in stock (including options if upgrading / downgrading components)

only delays might come from a sudden massive influx of orders and turn around gets bottle-necked by the time it takes to build, setup and test them all. Even then our team do double-shifts and weekends to minimize any actually delays!

  • I really like Evatech, have had friends purchase from them before and came highly recommended. I actually went to them to see if they could do something pretty close to the 9800X3D + 5080 deal that Nebula were offering. They went through a detailed quote with me and came up with a good price. Ultimately I did end up going through Nebula purely based on pricing and because I planned on upgrading from some of there no-name brands anyway. However Evatech were quick to respond and were excellent to deal with. This deal is actually pretty good value when looking at comparable brands!

    • may i know the quote price?

  • +1

Gave in and purchased one, thanks OP. Can't pass up such a good deal. Paid via bank transfer so hopefully the funds clear quickly.

    • ❤️

  • wish it was the 9800 on offer. Ideally would love a 9950 since I need to use it for video editing 80% of the time. Eva being local is a huge plus

    • 9800X3D was an option already but we've added the 9950 / 9950X3D options if you're tempted. Unfortunately pricing is just market average on those particular components compared to the 7800X3D, but the discount across the rest of the deal still makes it pretty sweet value as a whole and you'll be hard pressed to find a OzBargain deal on a PC default spec'd to either of those CPUs 😅

  • +1

    this build looks great.
The lack of VRAM on the 5080s really makes me worry how it will perform in 5 years, as games continue to require more for top rendering.
I'm hopeful of a 5080ti/super variant, but it could all be pipedream… arrrgh

    • With 8GB mainstream cards still being a drag on game developers they have to cater for not only today but for the medium term future… 16GB of VRAM will probably still be pretty mainstream in 5 years (sadly) with few exceptions…

    • Same concern here.

My launch gtx1080 has lasted this long, guess I can hold out hope for a 5080 super with 24gb

  • +1

Eva tech is filling the gap in customer service and good brand components…

    • 🎯

  • Hi OP, @evatech
Is there any chance of getting a deal on a CPU + M/B + RAM only combo.?

    • +1

Very sorry, but not on the cards today.

      • No worries. Would definitely be interested if there are more of these "niche" deals in the future.

  • The build looks good. Just wondering if you could add the Fractal Design North as an option for the chassis.

    • done!

      • +1

No chance in putting the North XL Mesh up in the list is there? Or fractal's torrent black?

  • Will it be possible to swap the CPU to 7700? Was looking for a generative ai pc. Don't need the x3d. Or is it not the best fit

  • love that the photo is actually what your pc would look like! great deal

    • +1
      • if you don't change of the default component selections :)

We build a handful of units of the default configuration before the promo kicks off, so if you're reading this and got in early with an order there's a chance the one in the photos is actually yours!

  • Great deal
I am looking for Lancool iii case

    and a 1000w PSU
eg a Corsair swift variant or Seasonic. any chance of getting one of these options?

    • and if wishes are being granted a msi b650 tomahawk MB.

    • Sorry, for generally stocked items we could like the Fractal North case requested in an earlier comment but these don't call into that category :(

      • thanks any way. any chance of the 1000w psu?

        • Out of stock at the moment unfortunately. More on the way but won't arrive one time.

We do have some 1250w 80+ Gold ATX3.1 PCIe5.1 SuperFlower linkunits if you needed the extra wattage. That said, there should be a spec you can configure with the options available that are going to draw more than the 850w PSU can handle and having more wattage than need doesn't really offer anything except maybe future upgradability to a more power hungry GPU…

Added it as an option to the product page.

  • If an OS is not selected how is burn in of the build done?
    Is windows installed and tested?

    • We do install Windows to run our tests for the tests that need it, others run in a linux environment and some like MemTest86+ don't need an OS at all. It's quiet an extensive process that takes the better part of 24 hours on most machines.

We can't provide an unlicensed pre-installed copies of the operating to customers as per M$'s very strict terms of sale, so we have to completely wipe all the drives after the burn in / QA testing is complete.

  • How does the default in house liquid cooler compare to the Peerless Assassin?

    • Well it's very different in that one is a liquid cooler and one is one..

In terms of actual cooling ability, none of the CPU options in this build will run hot enough for it make a measurable difference to performance.

Long term reliability wise, the air cooler doesn't have a pump that might one day fail as all liquid coolers are prone to do eventually, so the air cooler will have the edge on that front.

As for thermal mass, the liquid cooler wins so it'll take longer to heat up and you'll have longer temps for longer, but once they are both saturated and level out, it's much of a muchness.

Aesthetics wise, our in house coolers look very clean and nice in their all blackout design. The peerless assassins are a bit more … subjective.

      • Appreciate the long thought out response. I was mostly wondering about how the performance compares, as well as whether the warranty covers the liquid cooler somehow failing catastrophically and getting cooler fluid over everything.

        • It's not something that's happened ever before (leaking / exploding liquid coolers), but I'm sure if it was a clear case of product failure that's damaged other components we'd find a way to make it right. While it's not something that's explicitly covered by the warranty, leaving customers out to dry on a technicality isn't our style. I'm sure we'd do what it took to make it right if that sort of 1 in a million case occurred.

  • Do you have intel deals? similar to Techfast i9 but can be i7 14700k for example similar to this 9800x3d and 7800x3d difference

    • +1

Nothing in the 14th gen range at the moment but we do have the newer Ultra 200 series.

  • I would recommend evatech. I've bought both from techfast and evatech before and evatech's build quality is way better. The foam they shipped in is very good as well with clear instructions for people thats not so comp savy. The techfast machine boot drive SSD died 2 years in and this is without large read/writes (only game on comp).
Very tempted to order another one but I got other bills to pay…..

    Hi @evatech,
Any mobo upgrade options? MSI x870 Pro possibly?
    Thanks

    • Whats the main benefit to to x870 in your eyes (im on an x570, but i couldn't tell you why)

      • I'm just comparing it to the TechFast 9800x3d and 5080 build. Techfast's only ATX mobo upgrade option is the x870 for an extra 269. I just prefer to have an ATX board. I guess I don't need an x870, but if they have an x870 for a similar upgrade price, I would rather that. Also futureproofing with the gen5 pcie. But I would be happy with an atx b650 as well.
